Tropical Bungalow
Hotel setting was very nice, lush greenery and has its own private beach and a pool. The room didn't have adequate lighting, especially the bathroom.

Overpriced
Overpriced for what it was - a very "budget", basic and dated appearing hotel. Good location but many rooms far from the beach.

2/10 Poor

Not a good experience for me
Sorry Bao Quynh but you get a big thumbs down from me. Stayed for 6 nights. The pool was tiny, no parasols for shade. The bungalow was very basic. There are gaps around the doors which let mosquitoes in, we had to have 3 plugs in to get any chance of protection. The bathroom was outside so nighttime trips to the bathroom left you covered in bites. There were no nets for privacy at the windows - anyone walking past could see in, only solution to this was to keep curtains closed, which made the room dark and dingy. There were no pool towels, you had to use the ones from your room so you didn't have a towel for an evening shower as they were still wet & sodden with chemicals from the pool. But the worse was the mattress. I do like a firm mattress at home but these are one step away from being a huge brick. I did ask at reception if they had any toppers - their solution was to put a threadbare throw that was once quilted - they must have had this kind of complaint regular as knew exactly what I was communicating and had a 'remedy' ready. From day 2 I could hardly walk. Did consider checking out but early checkouts didn't get a refund for the nights not used & we hadn't budgeted double hotel costs.. Breakfast was tasteless - everything was the same temperature whether in a cabinet or not & sauces left out for hours in the heat to multiply bacteria & attract flies. My advice is go elsewhere, far nicer hotels around in this price bracket.

6/10 Good

Great beach location, gardens superb. Rooms adequate, but without the sun during the day there was no hot water for a shower....solar panels...…...breakfast fair, they need a larger industrial bread toaster for the one toaster they have is for a couple not a hotel full of guests!! If you like scrambled eggs or an omelette...….hard luck they seem only geared to fry an egg! Staff are really pleasant and try hard, when I sked if I could buy a cake for my wife's birthday, was told no......but 10 minutes later surprised us by producing cupcakes with a candle and a bottle of wine singing Happy Birthday.....great. But generally everything in the area including the hotel seems to close down at 9-9.30pm so if you used to eating late....forget it!...………...

Very nice and helpful staff in this relatively small and peaceful resort with mixed tourists, nice pool and direct access to a beautiful beach. Easy to find a spot to relax. Good and affordable food. The staff made New Year’s Eve special with a great outdoor buffet, piano live music and local dance. It was lovely.

The property is run dow and in big need of upgrade. Shower pressure very low with only tepid water. The wifi in the room was really weak and I had to switch to 4G to use Skype. Despite the above, the breakfast was surprisingly good and varied. I also enjoyed direct access to the beach.

Beautiful hotel grounds, beautiful setting. Fantastic staff, very friendly and prompt. We stayed here at the beginning of November - no rain, sunny, only saw a couple of mosquitos. Overall a great beach experience.

Location good, area nice, spotty Wifi
The staff was very nice and the feel of the hotel was good. Right on the beach too. The hotel was in a pretty quiet area but...there was music until about 11:00 every night from their restaurant in front which was fairly loud and I could hear in my room The wifi was very spotty, that was an issue for me as it went down 2 separate times which was a problem. The best part was the staff, the breakfast was good but the Wifi for me was a big problem.

Within the price range this is the little gem. Everything was near perfect. About the only complaint, Internet is spotty which seems to be a problem everywhere in Vietnam. As for the location, Mui Ne was disappointing. Endless strip of boring mish-mash stores and cookie cutter restaurants serving the same 1001 food choices. In comparison to neighboring countries the vibe is somewhat tired, no joyful vibrancy here. And, surprise, the food was mostly mediocre. The town and especially the beach could be cleaner. The sea is perfect for kitesurfing, not so for beach goers. The waves are ferocious.

The best place to stay
We really lucked in here with Bungalow Bao Quynh. Mui Ne is definitely a must go to place for a relaxing few days. Whether it be a couples (which was us) on a family vacation. Mui Ne is a very long strip of beach with mostly Resorts on the sea side and shops, bars, restaurants etc on the other side. So for a beach you need to stay in a Resort as they have all the beach access. Bungalow Bao Quynh is perfect. It was not expensive and has a shelter belt of trees onto the beach which stops the wind when you are relaxing on the beach in your deck chair. Great safe beach for kids, a nice swimming pool. Beautiful gardens nice reasonable priced restaurant etc. the only down side was the beds were a little hard.
