Rome and related destinations

Toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain and legend promises your return to this eternal city. The Colosseum stands as a magnificent ruin where you can almost hear ancient crowds roaring. Vatican Museums house artistic treasures culminating in Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, where necks crane upward in collective awe. Spanish Steps offer perfect people-watching while enjoying gelato that makes commercial ice cream seem like a sad compromise. Piazza Navona's baroque fountains provide theatrical backdrops for espresso sipping. The Pantheon's perfect dome still defies architectural logic two millennia later. Even Rome's ordinary corners reveal extraordinary fragments of history – ancient columns casually incorporated into medieval buildings as if history were simply a practical building material.

"Wonderful stay. The room is large and comfortable and incredibly clean. There are a lot of stairs but the elevators work well and are quick. The staff is efficient. No sofa beds, no family of four crammed into a tiny space. It was WONDERFUL."
