Visiting my daughter. Great location. Front desk staff seemed to be anxious for shift to end. Hubar delayed opening until 3:30. Lobby bar didn’t open until 5. No food until 5?? Seemed odd that a hotel at that expense can’t figure out a friendly staff and food and drinks all day. Great views upstairs once it finally opened. Sucked that you had to cross the breeze way to get to the roof top and it only allowed up when the Hybar allowed you entrance. They didn’t seem to care about what time they advertised as open (3pm) vs whe. They were ready. We were told, “they were still cutting fruit”. Several phone calls and several complaints later at least 50% of the patrons left for other opportunities. Once opened, the bar was under staffed and struggled to keep up. Although friendly, defiantly under prepared and dreaded. For the price paid I would recommend staying at neighboring hotels and wait until 5 and take advantage of the amenities offered… but be prepared to wait, as service is not the top priority

Stay for the location AND breakfast
This is my second time staying at this hotel. One night only. Overall, a nice property right in downtown Athens. Close to many bars and restaurants. Rooms are a little dated, but decent. The one thing that stands out for me is the excellent breakfast. One of the best, included with your stay.

Location makes it worth it
Stay for visit with family. Excellent location, comfort and breakfast. Ice is only available on two floors and I had a direct view of the parking lot which was just outside my window. They have a rooftop bar /restaraunt that we didn’t try Would stay again

Expected better.
Took a long time to check in. Parking was extra-$14 a night! It was Christmas so she did only charge us $5. Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, but went to take a shower and there was NO HOT WATER.! Still no hot water the next morning. Bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed unless locked. Bad thing was it wouldn’t unlock when you wanted to come out. This happened twice in one night.

Our stay was fine, the staff was professional. The shower was not as clean as it should’ve been but it was ok. The sink in the bathroom was clogged. It would also be good for front desk staff to provide info about navigating the hotel. It is confusing to know which floor to go to from the parking deck to get to your room. We spent a lot of time guessing and figuring out how to get to the registration desk and then to our rooms.
