Great location and staff
The hotel was located in the heart of Kyoto with easy access to the metro and the main areas of the city with many tourist attractions. The staff were also very fluent in English and very helpful. The hotel was clean and the pods were spacious. You have enough space to put your luggage underneath the bed and be able to access your luggage without getting into your neighbour's space. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Kyoto and looking for a slightly cheaper alternative to a traditional hotel.

Exceptional 10.0
best hostel ever and there is a blender!
Seriously the absolute best hostel I’ve ever stayed at!! The design is stunning, super modern. Everything is well thought out from the individual beds that can raise to wake you up, to the high powder blender in the kitchen for smoothies (frozen spinach and blueberries can be purchased at 7-11... heyo), to the individual drying towel for dishes. Everything is set up well for if you want to be solo or social. Highly recommend as the price and location are ideal for touring Kyoto. The bus stops are right outside, lots of bars near by and all the shopping! Honestly stay here. I’d live there full time if I could!! Oh and there is free beer and lavender shampoo. Yep- it’s that great! 😄

The place to be
Fabulous accommodation Great staff Great facilities

Good 6.0
Hostel with high tech gimmickry
Guess my expectations were off. I assumed a capsule type hotel, but rather found it to be a hostel with poor ergonomics and high tech gimmicks. iPod controlled folding bed and unit shade didn’t work quite well and lots of spaces for stuff to fall through. Bed was great and earplugs a super idea. Kitchen was also very good. And free beer did hit the spot.
