In all the years that I have booked through Hotels.com and have stayed in places such as this one, I have never have such bad svc.
We arrived at 8PM ( note: manager is not accessible past 9pm, which is not listed anywhere besides inside the appt). We found there are two doors with the address of 1A (enter street ) and both were locked, clearly needing a number to open the keypad. There were no messages or instructions sent via any form of communication; We called the number listed and left a message; no response. We asked a restaurant near by, they had no access to the Manager, Carl. We were ready to go to find other accommodations when someone who lives in the building called Carl; by then it was 9pm, we were drenched and very upset. Carl told me he left messages, and texts on my cell and he had left the key on the inner door. I have yet to receive any messages that he claims he sent; nevertheless, he did send an email receipt, which begs the question of how he was unsuccessful in communicating the info to get in, when he was successful in communicating the charges for the room....he could have called me, I had international cell phone service which is the way I received his email and it is the phone number that I list with hotels.com; he could have answered the listed phone for the appt; he could have communicated the information months before my arrival!! COMMUNICATION CARL!
