Love!
Amazing historic building, pristinely clean rooms, and very comfortable. All ceilings are 10’ tall, the woodwork is incredible, and every detail is well thought out.

Great hotel
Love this place, the hotel and the premises are simply stunning. Interesting history as well. The rooms are beautifully decorated and lots of the old features have remained intact. The only disappointment during our recent stay was the breakfast: During previous stays, we were offered a variety of local meats and cheeses, as well as delicious pastry from a nearby bakery. This stay there was only salami and two kinds of cheeses to choose from and they had been sitting out for a while. It was 9:00am and there was no more breed, eggs or water available. Not good, hopefully this will improve again.

a unique experience
I really loved this place - the staff was great, and the facility unique. Our queen bed was a bit too small for two over-6-footers, but overall we truly enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful historic building
When we drove up to the hotel, it looked so magnificent; we were sure it would cost way more than we budget for a hotel. However, it turned out to be VERY reasonably priced, and a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable bed, lovely linens, beautifully appointed modern bathroom. Another plus is that it's not a cookie-cutter usual hotel/motel experience. The included excellent breakfast, although called continental, was more than that. Again, not the usual awful breakfast buffet one gets at most chain hotels. Reminds me of European inns we have stayed at with extensive continental breakfasts. The history of the building makes it extra special. When passing through, we will stay here again. So glad to have discovered it.

Amazing
Love this place, a beautiful restoration of a historic place. Modern rooms with a reminisce of the original architecture. An excellent presentation of a delicious breakfast. Most enjoyable . All of the staff were EXCEPTIONALLY knowledgeable about the history of the place.

Very Good 8.0
The inn is well located within Staunton, literally a four-minute drive to the quaint downtown, which was very convenient. Our room was very tight, hardly any floor space around the bed. Also, the lack of a closet was quite awkward; the two or three knobs on an upright post were hardly sufficient for hanging our clothes. The barn door closure for the bathroom affords almost no privacy, which wasn’t a problem for a married couple, but make sure your roommate is someone you love, because you’re going to hear every sound they make. Despite these issues, we enjoyed our stay at the inn.
