I am very disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel.
Firstly, I was charged £10 to use the swimming pool, despite already paying £130 per night for the room. This charge feels excessive and was not clearly disclosed on the Hotels.com website. Had I known about this additional fee, I would not have booked the hotel.
More concerning, however, was the lack of heat in my room. On the first night, the heating system was broken, and the room was so cold that I had to wear a jumper and socks just to stay warm. I reported this issue to reception and requested a heater for the second night. While a small heater was provided, it didn’t work. I returned to reception, and they gave me a replacement heater. Unfortunately, this heater was also too small to make any real difference, and I spent a second night unable to sleep properly because of the cold.
I raised my concerns with reception, but my complaints were not addressed satisfactorily. This experience was far below the standard I expected, and I feel let down by both the facilities and the customer service.
