Weekend stay in Birmingham
Good location and easy public transport into the city centre for a busy December weekend.
Very friendly staff, easy parking and a good price.
We chose the superior room so weren't in the ground floor motel style rooms, although we only used the hotel for sleeping.

Out Dated Very Rundown.
Booked this room for my Husband as a place to stay after a long physical days work & in the area of his next job in the city he next day. On arrival the outside appearance was just awful looked like it had been closed down. The surrounding area also was very run down.
The rooms & the whole property is incredibly outdated & rundown.
Somthing from.the 70s
The armchair by the bed very stained & dirty. Put a house towel on it to sit on. The wall light was broken & hanging by its wiring. I fix this myself for my own safety.
The bath panel was water dameged & falling apart. Heated towel rail not working. The curtains were discussing stained & dirty both sides. Found a old earring on the floor & lots of rubbish under the bed. The only good thing was the bed sheets & pillows were clean & the bath towels.
The Bar was a joke no beer pumps working only bottles & cans of drink in a very boring well lit room.
I had people staying next to my room smoking Canabis & could smell it in my room all night.
The Hotel is open to anyone to wonder aroun off the street felt very unsafe at night.
Cooked English Breakfast was OK with the 6 standard item & a good selection of cereals & juices.
Never saw a soul & never saw a menber of staff.
Definitely would not stay here again & would not recommend.

The ‘hotel’ is an absolute disgrace.
I am sure that there are many asylum seekers staying in better hotels than this.
Dirty, the room I stayed in (323) was falling to pieces, wallpaper hanging off the wall, water stains all over the walls and ceiling.
It is uninhabitable and the fact I paid £167 is absolutely ludicrous.
I will be requesting a refund or a charge back on my credit card

The room had poor lighting felt like i was walking around in the dark. The main light was hanging off the wall dangerous , the radiator only heated half way up , the decor was outdated and drab , the rooms are in blocks not actuality a hotel more like a council block of flats anyone could stand right outside your room , nosey car doors and other doors banging.no tv

The property is not presented accurately in the pictures placed on Expedia! The rooms are old and do not look like the rooms on the pictures presented on Expedia. The receptionist was lovely but they seemed to be short staffed.
It felt unsafe to be there

This property needs a revamp it's tired. Outside more like a 1960s hostel than hotel. Dirty outside, cigarette ends and rubbish. Poor fittings, one room smelly and we were moved... Bigger room but no heating, radiator broken and leaking. Heated bathrail broken.
Staff were helpful but overwhelmed.
Expensive for what it is.
Better places to spend your money.
