Ok but could be so much better - shame
Decor lovely, front of house staff super pleasant. Newly refurbed bedrooom very attracted just a shame the bathroom was filthy. Food ok but nothing special. Wouldn’t bother paying extra for breakfast as get just as good from a beefeater tbh!!!

Embarrassing
It was the most uncomfortable bed ever. We wanted a good nights sleep before continuing our journey, we could not sleep. I think it was an ancient bed, it felt like it was made of straw. When we complained, in the morning, we were asked what have you been up to? This was embarrassing and unnecessary.

Slipping standards
Sadly since our last family gathering little has changed.
The hotel looks tired, as do the depleted and over worked staff. This is a poor reflection of the standards expected from a quality hotel in the Hilton empire

Check in was fine. Went in the pool. Almost half taken for one solo swimming lesson meaning no one could really swim, jacuzzi was warm at best not overly hot. Check out, well no one was there. Had to knock on the private door. Asked for my invoice to be printed. After 10mins of trying to sort the printer I gave up and left my email. It was sent pretty rapidly, I'll give them that.

Excellent Staff at the DoubleTree
We came to Bristol. for a wedding and needed somewhere convenient to stay, and the DoubleTree Hilton was just that.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, giving assistance with transport, directions, etc.
The room was fine, however there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Not sure if it was a plumbing issue or from the cleaning products they used.
This was the only blight on the stay though.

Lovely place to stay
We received a very warm welcome. The check in process took quite a long time and we could not understand everything the staff member was saying or asking. But he was very friendly.
The rooms were nice and spacious and comfortable. We will stay again.
