Do Not Stay Here

The good: The beach was nice and we mostly enjoyed our room (although the ceiling was leaking and apparently the way to solve that is drilling a small hole to let the water drain onto the floor as a slipping hazard…) The bad: The food is mediocre and the alcoholic drinks have zero alcohol. If you want actual alcoholic drinks, you’ll need to get shots separately and put them in your drink. This hotel only cares about its “VIP” members. VIP guests get preference on absolutely everything, including a walking orientation of the resort as well as restaurant reservations which are pretty much impossible for regular guests to get. I’ve NEVER experienced such a hierarchical resort before. But by far the worst part of staying here was the staff. The staff here are....unkind, dismissive, and sometimes straight up rude. The staff largely ignore guests waiting for services and talk loudly to each other instead. There are no smiles, greetings, niceties or even common courtesy. The worst incident was when we went to eat at the Asian restaurant, I ordered food off an available restaurant menu and I was publicly chastised by one of the staff for ordering two additional dishes. The public confrontation ended with me asking “am I not allowed to order what I want…at an all inclusive resort?” It was uncomfortable, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional. The way staff treat guests is completely unacceptable and not in line with any normal hospitality standards.

Fun trip with teenagers

Beautiful property, extremely clean. Food was quite good, though it varied at times. Service was always friendly though sometimes slow at restaurants. The beach was beautiful and we were able to find places in the shade every day. It was a reasonable size and I felt safe travelling with several older teenagers. Since it was relatively small in size compared to some (2 main pools, one main beach area, etc), we felt good about knowing where they were at most times. The evening performances were always fun, a few of incredible quality and a few others that were enjoyable, but not off the charts. We really enjoyed the magic show and Circus performers. We also very much enjoyed the foam party at the pool, and the white dress beach party (a friend, alerted us to the fact that we needed to bring white clothing!). There are certainly fancier, all-inclusives in the area, but this was a very enjoyable trip and the property was great for our needs! Kids enjoyed the fact that we were upgraded to a swim out from with the pool, connecting the front edge up our two rooms. Weather was perfect!

Check-in Check-in was quick, and we got drinks, but for three guests, we received only two keys and no hotel info. Staff Service was terrible—getting water took forever, and staff seemed uninterested. Most didn’t understand basic English. They were more helpful to Spanish speakers. A wrong coffee order was remade with a bad attitude. Room Spacious and clean, but the bathroom design was awkward—one door for both the toilet and shower, which had a transparent wall. Coffee and drinks were restocked every other day, and we got only two bathrobes for three guests. Beach/Pools Clean with enough loungers. Lots of seaweed, but staff cleaned it quickly. Restaurants/Bars Reservations were nearly impossible. When we finally dined in, service was poor, and food wasn’t worth it. The sports bar was severely understaffed, making ordering a hassle. Entertainment The best part—plenty of activities, and the animation team was great. Overall The hotel has potential, but due to poor service, we wouldn’t return.

The staff was not friendly or attentive and everything is run via QR codes, yet there are no QR codes in the room and when you ask a question, staff refers you to the QR code without guiding you through. We arrived the first day, couldn't make a dinner reservation because all facilities were full and no staff wanted to help resolve the issue or provide a better customer experience. Multiple people trying to 'help' just wanted to take you on a walking tour of the facility and upsell you to the VIP amenities. Despite it not being at capacity, was hard to find a seat at the beach or pool that didn't already have a towel on it. Pass this one over and pick another option.

I loved that they are very family oriented and the Entertainment people were involving the children as well as the adults. There were also a bunch of things to do within the facility itself. For example, Zumba class, nightly shows, nightly dancing, beach party, etc. Only a few things we didn't like. I didnt like that you could only book reservations for 2 nights at a time. Also, the vendors were getting kind of annoying (especially the massage). The towels for the pool needed to be swaped with the towel cards and they closed at 6pm, but the pool closed at 7pm. We would have to wait for the next day to exchange the towels. The towels were also old and thin. Also, when eating at the buffet, they would double seat people. We would all go up to get food and by the time we would go back to the table, either the hostess sat someone else or people would just walk in and seat themselves. There is also no sign at the entrance stating that they need to wait to be seated. Along with the buffet, it would be nice to have more Dominican dishes instead of just a few and more American food. Lastly, during the dancing at night and the beach party, I think it would be nice to have more spanish music than american music since we are in a different country. Overall though, it was my first experience here at this hotel and it was amazing! Definitely going back soon with my family!
