I will not be going back to the Hotel St Paul and I would not recommend you go! Rude and inhospitable front desk staff. especially on check-in and checkout. In addition to paying a $300 deposit for an express check-in - I had to pay an extra $200 for being an Expedia customer. A total of $500 depot for 4 nights. The room was cold. Never above 20 degrees C/ 68 degrees on cold Montreal days and nights. I asked for this to be taken care of on our first night, and someone came up and said it would go up - just would take time. It never did. On the thrid night asked again at the Front Desk and was ignored and told they wouldn't do anything. On leaving, the front desk attendant only said I will email your invoice. Not thank you, safe travels, nothing. The room was not clean- there was hair in the tub and no conditioner in the shower. The rug had dirt and curbs on it. The third night - no housekeeping service and the fourth night - housekeeping stopped by at 6:30 pm with fresh towels, that was it. LOVED Montreal - but will never go back to the Hotel St Paul.

This boutique hotel is DREAMY! The location is fantastic and the staff so pleasant and helpful! We arrived at 2 between reservations so scored a parking spot where we left the car for our three day stay and walked/ubered/took the excellent Montreal Metro system down the street for all our fantastic culinary adventures. I spent hours sitting in the cozy bay window reading, conducting meetings and just gazing out the window at passersby. Truly fantastic space! The gorgeous lobby with purple velvet couches and fireplace (where I also conducted meetings) was an unexpected pleasure. We’ll be back!
