Do not stay here!!!!

The grounds were poorly kept. See pics. The grass was overgrown and there was debris everywhere. The pool was molding AFTER it was shocked. Someone collected the debris that had fallen in but no attempt was made to clear the green algae. See pics. The pillows had no pillow cases. The furniture and bathroom set up looked like it was pieced together with random items. There were no key cards. We were given physical keys and had to swap the keys back and forth with the office and housekeeping to get replacements towels. One young lady on the housekeeping staff was especially nasty. No attempt to offer good service. Straight attitude. The bar staff made ever attempt to be accommodating and friendly. They were the best part of the stay. At check in we asked where alll of the other people were. The lobby and bar were empty. We were told everyone was sleeping. It was 2pm!! Trust was There were probably only 6 other people staying there. She also voluntarily told us the pool was just shocked multiple times. It was not only green with algae but dirty. She told us we could walk to various restaurants. We couldn’t remember seeing any on the drive in. There was NOTHING within walking distance, She was clearly being deceptive and exaggerating the truth about the resort and its offerings. I would NOT recommend this resort to anyone.

HORRIBLE POLICIES

My friend and I missed the connecting flight due to air traffic on the runways and pulling into the gates in ATL and we missed the flight. This hotel would not refund our monies. They would not even consider it given we had to cancel our entire trip and wound up returning home.

Good value for the money

Star was awesome. She got us an early check-in and was gracious in welcoming us with 2 tickets for rum punch. Room was clean and comfortable with beautiful ocean view from balcony. The young lady tending bar did a great job.

Hard Pass

I rarely leave unsavory reviews, but this place is extremely rundown. They seem to be more worried about their nightly entertainment than making sure their customers are happy. We sat in the restaurant for breakfast 18 minutes after it was open, and no one came to us or talk to us, but the server was there ignoring us. I must say the location right on the beach is beautiful, but if they don’t take care of this property, it’s going to fall down.

Enjoyed staying here. It was convenient to Christiansted, access to supermarket and staff was very friendly. Did not like the TV setup with no access to regular channels.

Bad Experience

Unfortunately I had bad experience at this property. 1-Power outage for 4 hours with just a flashlight at room....No generators at property. 2- Someone open my room while I was resting with a key supposed to open only Room 13 and I was in room 3. Spoke to Mgt and they claim that they might have give this person a Master Key. Hotel might be good fit for Beach Lovers, not for Business trips since there is no Rest - Shopping - etc at walking distance.

We are a low maintenance couple.

We had a wonderful time, staff is very friendly, property is in decline, in need of management and maintenance... I'm an advanced diver so snorkeling off the beach was a breeze even though it was windy and kinda rough, plenty of fish and coral right at The Palms!!!!

A quaint property tucked away just 3 miles from the Christiansted Boardwalk. We had a short stay, but our experience was just wonderful. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, and they were so very friendly! The food was delicious, with nice-sized portions; we loved that there was entertainment. A lovely pool on the property with private beach access, and we loved having our complimentary morning coffee on the beach. Our room was clean, with a beautiful ocean view. A taxi is required if you don't rent a car to go off the property, Soria, the Hotel Manager personally arranged one for us who became our go-to-transportation during our stay. Soria and her staff are working extremely hard to revitalize this sweet little place! A big shout out to Soria, Shay, James, Patrick, Keyjon, Ani & 'Houston' for going above and beyond and taking such good care of us. We came as guests and left as family. We will be back!

The staff is friendly. The view is gorgeous and the pool area, bar and restaurant areas are very nice. The room is in disrepair. My toilet did not work. I did not have a functioning toilet from soon after my check in until 4:00pm the next day. The repair person came to fix it but it still did not function properly. The room was dirty and much dust in the corners. I saw shampoo bottles attached to the wall of the shower and assumed there was shampoo in them. There was no shampoo in the shower and there were no small bottles of shampoo on the vanity counter. I had to wash my hair with soap. My son was served a warm margarita at the bar and was told that the blender was broken so they were not able to make any frozen drinks. I needed water and asked the bar tender if I could purchase some but the bartender could not find a bottle of water. I was not able to have any drinking water until later in the day when someone found one to purchase. The front desk usually sells water but they were not open in the morning.

The hotel’s idyllic location right on the beach affords breathtaking views as well as fantastic opportunities to take a dip. For those who prefer pools, there is a pool available with ample areas for sun bathing. The shaded areas and the cabanas offer respite from the sun. As common with properties by the beach, the sea mist and sun will relentlessly affect paint, metal, fixtures, etc. This beautiful property could use some aesthetic upkeep. The amiable staff and service are eager to please and they desire to make your stay remarkable. The kitchen has several selections to appeal to varied tastes. I have stayed at The Palms on many occasions, over the past 20 years and it is my go-to place when visiting St. Croix. Shout out to the current manager and staff who are working hard to maintain this ideal location!

Very slow check in process. Took about an hour. No working ice machine. The rooms were ok and the beach was beautiful but not able to swim due to rip tides. Our room door would open easily due to getting stuck on the floor. And when they painted it was sloppy with paint on bathe cabinets and faucet. Had to get a blow dryer and the shower soap dispenser was not working or empty. The food was subpar at the restaurant-which was closed more than open. No one available at check out.

Beautiful spot needs physical maintenance.

Beautiful location on the beach Physical maintenance needs some work, multiple broken light fixtures, internal, and external. No lights at night up the walkway to the room you had to use your phone or a flashlight to not fall. Cracked broken tile ant entrance to the room !! nice place just really needs a good maintenance support.
