Walter au Lac
"Best location in Lugano! You walk out of the door and you are right in the middle of everything: best restaurants, shopping, and the lake. There is a paid parking lot right next to the hotel and a parking garage within a 3 min walk. Hotel is very well managed, all rooms are clean and have beautiful lake views, breakfast is good, and the staff is very friendly and professional."
Best Western Hotel Bellevue Au Lac
"I was recommended to stay at the Bellevue and it was excellent. Location right on the lake, with spectacular views. Easy to get to the center and surrounding areas. Walking distance to Mt. San Salvatore and various restaurants. Excellent breakfast."
Acquarello Swiss Quality Hotel
"Great breakfast snd access ability"
GuestHouse Lugano University
"Location is excelente! Nice big room, comfy bed and nice hand soap. I went in summer with my husband and 2 kids. I was a little hesitant about paying the deposit thru link after learning that many scammers work that way, but it was the only way since it is a self check in. They do send instructions of everything with steps to enter the room. The key to the room is modern, thankfully my 19 year old got us in quite fast. One thing I didn’t know was that most places in Lugano don’t have air conditioners. So be aware! I have to say that even in summer (August) it wasn’t bad. The room has a floor cooling system and a fan. Check in was after 4pm (strictly) I had to walk around with bags for hours, but it was definitely stated ahead. They returned my deposit in a day or two. I would go back again. It was comfortable and spacious."
LUGANODANTE Boutique & Lifestyle Hotel
"The receptionist was absolutely lovely and so kind and helpful. Bar staff also delightful. Loved the voucher for the bar and the sorting out of our free travel pass."
Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola
"Such a beautiful hotel. I loved sitting at the lido and swimming in the lake everyday of my stay. My husband preferred the garden and pool area which was stunning too. The stuff were so nice and helpful, it is a small hotel so we had very personal service which was super lovely. We will be back 😎"
Hotel Besso
"My train was mega delayed and the reception staff, was very kind.Processed my check in fast and gave me a bottle of water. Comfy bed with ,huge balcony. Recommend 100%"
Hotel Lido Seegarten
"The location of the hotel was good. Easy to get to Lugano Centre by Line 2 Bus. The bus was SO reliable & came every 20 minutes. The room had a great view of the lake but was not well equipped re power points. The bathroom was excellent. I thought for an expensive hotel it was a bit much to charge you if you wanted a cooked omelette or eggs fried or poached. Most hotels offer this. The evening meal was excellent. I loved my veal & it had beautiful tasty accompaniments. The hotel provided the Ticino Card which meant bus Transport was free."
Villa Principe Leopoldo
"An excellent property with exceptional service. Staff were extremely attentive. We ate in La Luce restaurant one evening and visited the spa. The hotel is in a great location with stunning lake views and it’s only a short drive into the centre of Lugano."
