Efficient and friendly check in. Staff friendly. Room was quite tired and dated. Lovely rooftop bar and restaurant but needed use of stairs to reach. On arrival, we were told where we were allowed to sit. Hotel seemed to prioritise customers who had booked for dinner over hotel customers. Breakfast ok but had to wait 15-20 minutes each morning to get coffee. Hotel is in a great position with eating and drinking options nearby

Location was great. 7 minute walk from Termini Station, hop on and hop off bus stop 2 minutes away, souvenir stands and stores everywhere, 1 of the four major Basilica churches across the street which was very beautiful and a must see. Property is dated but very quaint and clean.

Room was adequate but small to our liking, but we had tons of luggage which made it a bit tight. The restaurant was very nice, but it was difficult to get them to seat us. We were there prior to any one there so I did not understand what was going on. Finally we got to eat a great dinner and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

We had booked this hotel because it was fairly close to the main train station, which we ended up not using, but it was still a good location - close enough to the Colosseum and a short taxi ride to popular areas such as the Spanish steps. We loved the buffet breakfast, which always had a great variety to choose from, and the views from the rooftop restaurant can't be beat!

Wonderful location, very walkable area. The short grey haired woman behind the desk was very rude and was never nice. We asked her if we could borrow an adapter and she said the hotel never loans those out because people steal them. Our friend also staying in the hotel was then loaned one from another hotel staff. This woman is losing that hotel business. I will not stay here again because of her behavior. Breakfast was very nice overlooking the city from the rooftop terrace. Nice hotel but not worth the money when you have staff that are not accommodating whatsoever. Sorry Mecenate Palace, never again.

This is a beautiful hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. Love room 410 with the view of the Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore absolutely outstanding and is the view from their rooftop restaurant 👏 we walked to the coliseum which was amazing. The bus stop outside hotel m, bus 590 takes you to the Vaction museum 5 min walk. Or the Metro and main bus centre is only 5 mins walk with so many options to travel around Rome. We loved the location of this hotel. Because of its proximity to Santa Maria Maggiore and Termini station, we could get literally anywhere in the city by train, bus, or hop-on-hop-off bus. The basilica is gorgeous at sunset and lit up at night and a trip to the roof bar is a must, although I would not recommend the restaurant which was overpriced with terrible service. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is older and a little shabby and the rooms are tiny, but charming and very clean. If you plan on spending a lot of time in your room or want to be in the middle of the Roman nightlife, this is not your place. We loved that it was tucked away a bit and thoroughly enjoyed our daily cappuccino with a view of the basilica.
