Slamming doors = I’m tired.
Stayed for a long weekend. Have stayed before a few times but this time wasn’t up to standard. 1. Incredibly noisy room. Lots of slamming doors and outside building works early in the morning. 2. Lots of talking outside room by staff early hours waking us up. 3. Recyclable water bottle taken away on night 1 by cleaning staff and not replaced having to go to reception for a new one 4. No sugar replaced for tea/coffee 5. No complimentary chocolate bar as previous stays 6. Room quite small for price paid 7. Couldn’t get late check out as requested, not good enough as price expensive 8. Waiting staff - in particular one lady was very surly and non engaging when talking to her for order Stayed here a few times and other times a lot better and quieter. Too many slamming doors near the room. Would consider staying here again but not sure as high price and lots of noise so didn’t have the best and restful stay as hoped.

Room Too Small and Expensive
We arrived too early for our room to be ready but we were able to leave our luggage in a secure area instead. When we did check in and get our keys later on there was about a 5 minute wait in a queue. We had a standard double room which cost about £250 per night. It was small and the bed was pushed sideways against a wall so it was difficult getting up to use the bathroom during the night. The shower worked okay. The breakfast was nice but there was a big queue waiting to be seated and it is expensive at £17 each. The hotel is convenient for Theatre Land and Covent Garden.

Great for 2 days, not so good on last night of sta
Excellent for 1st 2days/nights. Went a bit pearshaped on last day/night. Left our room to go for a walk saw cleaner a couple of doors down from our room, let her know we would be out til about 4.00 and that it was fine to clean up room. Arrived back to find room had not be dealt with, phone reception to let them know, had to ask for clean towels and tea etc, no offer to come clean room. Sat down on bed to watch tv before heading out for a bit of food, phoned reception to inform tv has stopped working. Gentleman arrived tried remote etc, left to get new batteries, still nothing, looked at tv, said would need extra help but that he was only one who was working. Left with screen showing picture of hotel, went for meal.came back to find tv screen still on but still not switching to tv. Had to pull tv out from wall to pull plug out to turn the tv screen off. Lovely ending to my wife's birthday trip.

Was staying 3 nights gor wife's birthday trip to London. 1st 2 days/nights went well, was disappointed on our last night. Came back into our room after being outall day to find room was not cleaned or serviced properly. No tea, or milk etc, also ran out of toilet paper. Phoned reception towels provided had to ask gentlemen for tee suppies etc. Settled down to watch tv for an hour, was working on previous days, tried turning on, no joy, phoned reception, another gentleman appeared tried remote, nothing, came back with replacement batteries, again nothing, stated that it would be 2 man job and disappeared. Screen showing hotel wouldn't go off, so pulled plug out of wall to behind tv screen attached to wall to allow us get to sleep. Stayed in hotel a couple of times before, so hopefully this was a one off experience

Good stay but affected but others
The accommodation was pleasant and hotel location very convenient. Unfortunately, being on the first floor in the proximity of the kitchen strong food odours permeated the room and a spell of clattering noises heard. Returning to our room, the corridor was filled with the heavy scent of marajuana smoke which also slightly affected the atmosphere with our room. My partner found it quite disagreeable due to her acute sense of smell and had to open a window.

Classic New York styled hotel in the heart of Lond
Brilliant location. Check-in was extremely quick. The Hotel is very old though and although well maintained, the design is sometimes an issue. For example as you enter the lobby there are 4-5 steps to climb and that is difficult if you have heavy bags. Also, there are just 3 small elevators for quite a large hotel so wait times are a bit. Rooms are neat and clean but the small windows make it a bit gloomy. All in all, a good hotel that I would stay at again.
