The Hotel Majestic was a very great place to stay. We had a corner room which gave us a lot of windows with a view of the city. The location was great to everything will did. The breakfast was great and the breakfast area was very nice and clean. The Hotel was an old San Francisco look, and the rooms were old Victorian which was great. We would definitely stay here again

While the staff was amazing and the hotel's decor very quaint, the two important things for me in a hotel were sorely lacking: The bed was probably the hardest and most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on, and the "hot" water was warm at best, and that's being generous.

The biggest issue is there is no desk in the room. It's hard to work on a laptop on the bed. Having the restroom available is nice, but I want to be in my pajamas and work in my room instead of face the public. :)

Friendly and helpful staff at the front desk and in the restaurant. Unfortunately, both the lobby and my room smelled strongly of air-freshener, like the cheap kind you find in a taxi or Uber. If I hadn't checked in so late (10:30pm and exhausted from travel), I would have moved to a different hotel. The smell nauseated me and gave me headache. After I returned home, my sleeping clothes still smelled of it. If you are at all sensitive to smell or chemicals, you should not stay here.

Victorian style hotel that has interesting decor but pretty dated. Room (twin) was super clean which was fantastic. There was a variety for breakfast of basic items such as bagels, muffins, yoghurt and some fruit. There was waffle maker which is a novelty for international visitors. Probably best to head to breakfast early as later choice was somewhat more limited and tables weren’t cleaned after previous guests. Staff were super helpful and first person to greet us was so friendly. Location is up a hill but that’s a given in SF. Location worked for us (by having the Muni travel pass) but wasn’t too close to the main areas (we were generally walking a few blocks even to get to transport). I’d be happy to stay again.
