Work Needed!
Sat at the bar and the service was terrible, female bartender rude and inattentive. A friend of hers sat at the bar with his laptop with the volume super loud and that’s where her attention was at. My room door had the don’t disturb sign and room service came in regardless. Concierge gave me drink tickets due to some other related matter gone wrong and the bartender wouldn’t honor it because I wasn’t ordering a cocktail and want a neat drink. News flash a cocktail consist of 2oz of liquor whether it’s mixed or neat. Needless to say will not be returning from someone who works in hospitality/ hotel.

Horrible Family Experience
I would never recommend The Gates hotel to anyone that wants to have an enjoyable experience. I’ve traveled all over the country and world, however, I’ve never had an experience where the hotel flat out doesn’t care for their customers like The Gates at Miami Beach. I placed my reservation for a two queen bed room for my family, reached out 24hrs in advance to confirm my reservation, and even told them when I would be arriving. Nonetheless, without contacting me, the hotel gave up my room. So I arrived with a family of four at 2AM, just to be told there are no rooms and we moved you to a hotel miles away in a room with a single king bed - good luck. Nothing from a manager, not even an apology. Yes, we were arriving late but that’s why I contacted the hotel. I’m reluctant to ever use Hotels.com again and I certainly won’t stay at The Gates - neither should you.

Very noisy and freezing hotel
The AIr condition temperature cannot be changed and it was crazy freezing room, also no complementary water, poor lighting. ALso I couldn't sleep due to the very loud music from teh closing Bar !! when I asked teh receptionist to turn it down she said its not allowed despite it was 5 am and all teh shops bar were closed. The only good thing was teh stuff was frendly

Front desk and concierge service was very good. Housekeeping was a little lacking.. room was not vacuumed daily, toilet was not always cleaned well. Had to repeatedly ask for replacement for toilet paper and tissues. Do not go to the attached restaurant. Service and food is awful.While we ultimately liked the location, the lack of a good restaurant at the hotel meant a lengthy walk for breakfast

The shower did not drain and so I was standing in inches of water. The rope chain on the door blinds was broken and the safe did not work. We asked for extra pillows and housekeeping never showed up. It was in a great location, the people were friendly.

A very pleasurable Stay
The hotel was excellent, everythingbwas great butcher internet didn't work, more than likely a temporary outage. The drinks and Cheeseburger had poolside were great as was the service. Can't beat this hotel that was a short uber ride to Havana57 on Ocean Drive

Disturbing experience.
Nice hotel. Check in was delayed and late after 4pm. No wifi service in the hotel. Not good for business trips. Bathroom was maybe rush cleaned because of the late check in. Sink had stains and marks. When I needed to go back into my room at 5am where all of my belongings were I was treated by staff that they would call the police on me??? Check out is at 11. Very disturbing & disheartening me and my guests had to go through that. Instead of 100 a day incidentals - if you stay for 7 days be prepared to have 700 dollars taken from your account until you check out. I was charged 150 by the hotel on my last day & I’ve never received anything extra or bought anything.
