Good hotel.
Good hotel in a great location. Rooms are a little dated but this didn’t impact upon the quality of our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bar has happy hour between 2pm and 7pm. Concierge lovely when we left our luggage. We’d definitely stay again.

Convenient location
It was a good stay at the Copthorne Tara Hotel. Very convenient to stay, close to public transport service. High Street Kensington Underground is just a walking distance. Many halal food options for Muslims and a variety of good coffee shops for a coffee lover.

Sleeping nightmare
Three day stay and virtually no sleep because of behaviour of neighbouring room. Slamming doors every night almost every ten minutes. Confronted them first 2 nights but nothing changed. Second night discussed with reception nothing changed, third night after discussion with night manager the noise lessened but only after he threatened to evict them. The whole corridor smelled of either rotten food or lack of hygiene. The room was filled to the roof with bags, they were continually filling rubbish bags and leaving them all along the corridor. The hotel really needs to do something about the mess, the smell and the comfort of paying customers, an absolute disgrace.

Keep billable in the safe.
Came back to the room one day and the door was unlocked. Room service had been in to replenish as requested. Luckily our stuff had not been touched and valuables still there. I rang to let reception know, no apology given just thanks for letting them know.

Need of upgrade
I have stayed at this hotel (around 6 years ago) several times previously with my business. I booked a club room again this time as a leisure guest I have to say the rooms are in need of food upgrade tables and chairs mjave chips in them. The bed and the linen was very clean. When previously you booked a club room you had an happy hour from 6pm when they served complimentary drinks and snacks. This is no long available. Other than having your breakfast on the club room I don't see the advantage of booking this type of room. I was a little disappointed overall with the hotel.

Stayed in a family club room. Hotel Reception is nice, fast check in. Room was on the 12th floor. Quite dated decor, old fashioned heating/air system, room was quite warm and stuffy overnight (& it was 0 degrees outside). Breakfast - good selection and quieter room as we could use the club lounge. Shop on site - £25 for a bottle of wine that would cost about £8 in the shop. Automated message received on here when we booked. I replied to ask a question and never got a reply.

Great location close to underground station. Staff were polite, courteous and really helpful. Isdue with the hairdryer in the room and this was resolved promptly, maintenence arrived within 5 minutes with a replacement. Upon check out one of the receptionist checked that the hairdryer had arrived in a timely fashion.

Friendly central hotel
The hotel is ideally located in Kensington a short walk to the high street, tube station and museums. Away from the main humdrum of central London but still close enough to enjoy theatres and attractions only a 20 minute bus ride away. The reception staff were very friendly particularly Angel and John. As we were celebrating a birthday and forthcoming anniversary we were upgraded and provided with a complimentary drink. There is a small cafe just inside the entrance that served coffee's, fresh bakery items and miscellaneous snacks. Ideal for a quick breakfast.

Thorough housekeeping!
Everything was quite fine for what would amount to my 10th half-week stay at this hotel. That is, with one exception: the housekeeping crew were a bit too eager in their cleaning of my room after my night. They removed all the food I had stored in the minifridge, and removed all my personal items left in the bath, incl. new toothbrush and toothpaste. They must have thought I had already checked out! I was able to obtain temporary toiletries from the Reception Desk, but still needed to shop for a new food supply for the remainder of my stay.

We have stayed at this hotel for a two night stay to where our stay was rather poor. The hotel car park was poor and very small. Staff had said that the car park had lee way with time however this did not and could have got us a hefty fine if we had took staffs advice. The check in took a very long time with ques out the door and was very slow. The rooms were extremely basic and not the nicest, Would not stay again.
