Its all about the view!
This hotel for me is all about the view! We always book a bridge view room but missed out on the executive rooms this time and it makes a difference. The standard rooms are very old fashioned and out of date - if it wasn't for the view out the window I wouldn't have been too happy. A little time to do the rooms up would go a long way.

Staff helpful, hotel undergoing works.
The hotel was a good price, but unfortunately, due to building works being undertaken, the room we were given was very cold, with only an inadequate portable heater. The problem (for us) was rectified by the staff giving us a different (and upgraded) room with working heating, so absolutely no complaints there, but it would be good to warn people booking that the hotel is undergoing some major refitting.

Unfortunately a disappointing venue.
Unfortunately the hotel has a dated feel to it and unless staying for the first time to experience the views of Tower Bridge I wouldn't recommend staying here. I am frequent business traveller to London and have stayed 5 nights over the past 2 weeks in differing rooms and just feel the hotel rooms and particularly the bathroom and heating facilities to be dated. The gym is very limited in terms of size, equipment and head space so again was disappointing on entering. It is also evident the gym isn't cleaned or managed as I was in the gym at 6pm and the housekeeping public check form was signed through to 10pm that evening with no staff entering during my couple of hours in the gym. I wouldn't be looking to stay here again as feel more adequate spaces are available nearby for similar or lower rates with far more generous facilities and better quality rooms overall.

Great Hotel - Amazing View
The room was great. It was warm and comfortable and right outside the window, there was an amazing view of Tower Bridge. It's very cool to watch the river traffic at night before bed. It was only an overnight stay for a family event, but great amenities that we used, such as the self-serve shop and the Starbucks counter in the lobby. Plan to stay again in September.

Great and terrible
Oh amazing hotel! Beautiful, great location and room was great! Bar downstairs was lovely and the view from the tower bar was great too, great selection of drinks…and that’s where my downfall began! Trust me if you have some crazy romantic notion about bringing your friend ( who you’re secretly in love with!) here for drinks and a nice stay…then getting very very drunk and stupidly confessing said love…please do not do it! I torpedoed a perfect day! And now I’m lost in the ocean of regret and sadness, while the remains of the shipwreck of our friendship floats around me..oh the staff were all amazing too!
