This hotel is very old (hey - it's Europe) but in great condition. It's a bit hard to navigate with the outer courtyard doors, inner doors, and the flight of stairs to reception. There is a lift, but it's tiny. The woman working reception was pleasant, but had limited English. She seemed most concerned that I knew I had to pay the nightly tax at checkout.
The room was clean and neat, but quite small. The bathroom was very nice and had an excellent shower. The hotel is well-situated, with in walking distance of The Spanish Steps, Villa Borghese park, and lots of restaurants and cafes. The walk from the train station was about 25 minutes, and is tough with luggage. The walks are not all in the best states of repair. It's a pretty quick taxi ride, so I'd recommend taking a cab from Roma Termini station.
