Resort had great amenities even if they are highly overpriced.
Kids had a blast, pools were largely clean and the food was decent. Definitely check out la brissa on the adult side for dinner. Highly recommend upgrading to premium, worth every penny

I liked the resort because it had amazing pools and easy access to the beach. You were able to walk to the restaurants, casino, pool and beach. The room we stayed in was the junior suite with a jacuzzi but the jacuzzi was dirty and the shade we had for privacy was not working, therefore we didn't use it.

Everything is far, ypu have to walk a lot to get to the restaurant. The food is not good. The check in time is very terrible. I would not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

We recently stayed at the Barceló Bávaro Palace and overall had a wonderful experience. The beach was absolutely stunning, the pools were beautiful and relaxing, and the range of amenities kept us entertained throughout our stay. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was vibrant yet peaceful. However, one area that could have been improved was the cleanliness, particularly in our room’s bathroom and in the buffet areas. While not terrible, we did notice that certain spots in the bathroom seemed overlooked by housekeeping, and the buffet stations could have been tidier and better maintained during busy times. That said, these were minor issues in what was otherwise a fantastic vacation—we truly enjoyed our time and would consider coming back.

The food has a lot of choices but taste bad. You can see a fly died on the sushi.
The beach has too much seaweeds.

The pools and grounds of this property are absolutely stunning. They were kept clean and in good shape. The beach would have been nice, except for extensive seaweed, which is not the fault of the hotel but still affects your experience. The air smelled like either the sewage or seaweed on many days which was kind of gross, but again, not the fault of the hotel. The food was really terrible across the board, and I'm not picky. Service people were friendly but extraordinarily slow and also couldn't understand English nearly at all which makes things difficult. Between the awful food and poor service day after day I could not really recommend this hotel. I do commend the property itself and all it has to offer as well as the good, clean condition everything was in. The rooms were also spacious and nice.

Check in was very slow even though it didn't look too busy. There are many pools and the beach had a lot of seaweed. We weren't able to reallg enjoy that. The staff and service was unpleasant as staff didn't seem to want to answer questions, make drinks at bars, or provide service at the buffets. Most times we asked for something it was meant with a below average attitude. There was a male staff member that followed us one night and insisted on coming to our room (one of the girls was flirtacious) but it made me uncomfortable that i had to say no many times. Food was mediocre. It was nearly imposible to book any dinners at the restaurants because they were booked 4 or more days out and we weren't there that long. Overall, would not recommend or come again. Casino was fun and the disco was pleasantly a good time.

I had an amazing stay at the Barceló Bávaro Palace! The resort is absolutely beautiful. The pools were incredible, offering both lively areas with music and activities, as well as quieter spots to just relax.
My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely balcony view. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job making sure everything was perfect every day.
One of the highlights of my stay was the excellent service. Our ambassador, Christian, went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of throughout our vacation. He was professional, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which truly made our experience even more enjoyable.
The resort has so many dining options. I especially enjoyed the à la carte restaurants, and the buffets had a wide variety of food to choose from. The restaurants require reservations, but once planned, the meals were worth it.
There’s also so much to do! Between the nightly shows, water sports, and the kids’ activities, it really feels like a place where families, couples, and friends can all find something to enjoy.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The Barceló Bávaro Palace is a perfect mix of relaxation and fun in Punta Cana. Thanks to Christian and the entire staff, our trip was unforgettable. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a tropical getaway, and I’d love to return in the future!

The resort was beautiful. No doubt about it. I went with my boyfriend & 4 days was definitely not enough bc there are so many activities. The pool on the family side by the swim up bar was the highlight of our trip. So much fun when the performers come out. We went to the adult only side to check it out but the family pool was the best. (You are allowed to go to the adult only resort as they have a trolley that takes you back and forth) The night club was huge! Very cool and a must try. Unlimited drinks and food, yet I still ordered room service when need be and it was great, however breakfast was absolutely worth it for room service as they have different packages and for a great price. The jacuzzi in the room (junior suite) was the perfect touch. You also get a fridge filled with drinks and it feels like a blessing when you're thirsty because it's included (sodas and presidente beer!) The resort food is resort food so you can't complain. Each restaurant is a hit or miss so try different ones. i do wish there was more authentic Dominican food tho. I loved the resort & had an amazing time but 1) the family pool by the swim up bar has a small island next to it & when you pass it, smells absolutely lethal 2)The staff..I was tipping left & right so I'm unsure why the staff seemed so miserable.. I would order and would be ignored. I'm latina so it's not bc I didn't know the language. There were sweet ones but more rude staff than anything. They did ruin the experience a bit.
