10/10 Exceptional

Very nice accommodations, in a very convenient location close to excellent restaurants and venues.

Clean room, comfy pillows and bed, although we didn’t get to enjoy them had a couple choices for food and drink on the same block!
Alyssa, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Very clean room and property. This is a boutique hotel, we actually saw no staff during our stay and that was fine. Bed was super comfortable and plenty of options of food and drinks close. Loved the decor and convenience of checking in and out.

This is a really cool hotel. Luxurious yet affordable. I love the concept of these mini hotels. More people should invest in these. I want to have my next family reunion here.
Casey, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Had a great time

Lovely place. Walls are a little thin so we could hear everything and the rooms are a on the smaller side. But we had a good experience. There’s a cute little outdoor area too

Very very nice place to stay

Place was extremely nice. Very clean and I would give it a 10 out of 10. Great decor in lobby and room.
Andy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Stayed from a Wednesday - Saturday. Felt like we had the place to ourselves the first couple nights so overall quiet and enjoyable stay. On Friday night there were definitely more guests occupying the hotel and the walls were pretty thin - needed a noise machine between the room next door and the street noise as Bridge St is pretty busy. Overall easy check in, comfortable and beautiful space, and an ideal location for our needs.

Stylish and well-appointed boutique hotel

Stylish and darling boutique hotel on a vibrant street in Grand Rapids. I stayed for work but would love to come back and stay with friends or family.

Far exceeded expectations!

It was one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in, very quiet, private, clean. Highly recommended especially for the reasonable price in comparison to other hotel options in the downtown area.

perfect and private

Stayed for business and it was perfect.
FELICIA, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The room and common areas were beautiful- well thought out and nicely decorated. Everything was very clean. The only downsides were construction happening next door into the late evening and being able to hear neighboring rooms and toilets/showers etc. The surrounding area is nice, lively, and walkable.

This was a lovely space — decorated beautifully, clean, and comfortable. We will definitely be back!!
Carlie, 2-night trip

We love the property and will definitely stay here again. It would be better if we did not have to check out by 10 am though. Really cute and super clean

Was surprised by no housekeeping but other than that, a good stay.

The agent asked some very weird questions about our plans at the hotel prior to our stay.

6/10 Good

No people. No front desk. No warmth but was clean.

No idea it was “self service” which I hate. I have been in the hospitality industry for 40 years because I live the personal touch. After driving 3.5 hours from Chicago, I needed to use the ladies room. Front door was locked. Called # on window and they said “ you have to fill out the form”. Some lady called me while I was driving referencing some form which I assumed I could fill out at front desk. There is no front desk and no people. I heard someone come home after me last night but never saw anyone. Totally weird. Not my type of vibe. Rate on line said $79 then $100 in fees was added on. Not good!
Margie, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

I stayed at the BlueJay for the Grand Rapids Marathon and as I was late in making hotel arrangements, this was the only left hotel available within walking distance of the race. I had to pay $350/night when the normal rate is $227 (or there abouts with all the fees). It was quite pricey for about 10 hours of stay and I didn't appreciate being taken advantage of. What they don't tell you is that there is no front desk and no staff. You have to have a smart phone to check in/check out and to access your room both the hotel itself and your room. Check out is 10 am. I planned to be running at 10 am, so if my partner was not leaving the hotel at 7:30 am, when I did for the race, I'm not sure how we were supposed to check out on time as I do not carry my phone when running and the reservation was tied to me. They charge an extra $25 for the privilege of late check out . . . There is no coffee in the room, but there is a kitchen downstairs with a Nespresso machine. I don't know how to use a Nespresso, I don't have one and I have only used one a couple of times at other hotels. They had no instructions. I attempted to make coffee by what I could see, but there was no love from the coffee maker and no caffeine for me. The room was nice and clean, but the amenities were spare. Although as I was only there 10 hours and slept for most of them, it didn't matter.
