We really enjoyed our time! Everything was clean, it was nice having coffee and extra blankets in the room, and we appreciated having enough shampoo provided for all three of us. The woman that checked us in was cheerful and explained everything thoroughly. The patio area that we had access to was quite nice as well. If we come back to Florence we will definitely keep this in mind as a place to stay for the future.

Nice room. Shower was a bit rough and needed more soap however good overall. Great location, walking distance from all the sights and good transport links. Very close to main train station where we took the train to Pisa and Rome. SO quick and easy.

El Roy Gardens was a very convenient, clean place to stay for your visit to Florence. It's proximity to the train station is a big plus. Neighborhood was quiet, staff was courteous and fees are very much affordable. I will stay at this place again on my next trip to Florence. Y - Boston, MA - May 2025

it was far from everything, The garden at the El Roy was not like it looked on Expeida. The rooms were clean, but I had to ask for more towels and toilet paper. There was someone to greet us but other people arriving there no one to greet them and they did not know where to go for info. I would not recomend this one , maybe for students

Nice rooms near SMN - watch for checkin note
The room was spotless, roomy, and recently updated. AC worked well. The staff went out of the way to help us. I didn’t get their message asking for our arrival info (technical issue with internet service on our cruise ship) so arrival was a bit rocky. There was no sign pointing to reception so we were standing out on the street trying to message them until another guest pointed us in the right direction. At reception, a kind, service-oriented housekeeping staff member stored our bags and got us checked in so all ended well and our rooms were great.

The location is close to train station, we walked to everywhere 15-25mins to and attractions. Staff is very helpful and responsive. Room#1 is near to the main door to the building, we heard a lot of the door slam early in the morning.

Had everything we needed, spare blankets duvets and pillows, plenty of towels and some toiletries in the room. Wifi and gair dryer and was a level walk into the centre of town down a well lit street. Tram also stopped close by. Very clean and comfortable, no hesitation to reccommend.

The room was ok and as described. It was clean and everything that we needed. Location was convenient although not the nicest. They charged me extra for a late check in which I don’t remember reading. This is a room in an apartment so there is no front desk. They responded to questions through the application.

Poor communication from staff resulted in difficulty and lengthy checking in. No servicing of room between our 2 night stay, only given 1 bottle of water, 2 teabags, no milk in room. No milk at coffee station in reception area.

They were super accomodative with everything including sending someone to check me in early when I arrived in the morning and was expecting to have to wait. I can tell my room was newly remodeled as everything was new such as the bathroom, ac, mini-fridge, and bed. Definitely a great place to stay if you're traveling early from SMN as it's a 10-minute straight shot walk.

For our group this was just a quick stopover before taking the train early in the morning to Monterosso. The train station was walkable. The rooms were basic. If we were in Florence to enjoy the town for a few days this is not what we would consider.

My bathroom was clean but the door was so hard to close because it is sagging and creating so much friction with the floor. Also, the shower drain is partially clogged so the water is pooling on the shower pan. This facility doesn’t refresh your room daily.

The only decent thing is the room. The building is awful and creepy. At night looks like an scenary from a horror movie. The staff, well there is no staff or front desk. The pictures in Expedia are misleading people showing gardens that are not accessible or don't exist. Going out a night is challenging because there are people that look dangerous in the surrounding areas.

Our stay at El Roy Garden rooms was interesting to put it into one word. When we got there, the directions took us to a completely different building, and there was nobody there to check us in. I then called and then somebody came. However what I cared about most was the area, it was just my boyfriend and I staying here, and this hotel was in a pretty unsafe area, which made me uneasy. The man who cleaned was very nice and made sure to smile as we passed and such, and made sure our room was clean. Personally, as a young girl, I would stay somewhere else due to safety, but if this isn’t a concern for you then you will be fine.
