Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was excellent. Small older rooms with renovated bathrooms. We just used the rooms to sleep in and spent most of our time sightseeing. But when back we spent lots of time relaxing in the large and comfortable reception area.

Great location but poor quality of rooms

The hotel is nice with tons of rooms but the rooms are very dated. Don't let the pics deceive you (I was tricked). The hotel lobby and breakfast lounge are nice. The hotel location is great. The parking can be challenging based on how busy they are but it's free so can't complain. The hotel room, decor, and bedding were dated. The shower was barely enough to stand.

This property is as expected an old building. The bathrooms for each room are unsafe as the shower floods the entire bathroom. Very nice breakfast that had fresh fruit and lots of nice choices. We booked a queen bed room and were given the worst room in the place with a small double bed. Bed mattress is very old and very uncomfortable. When I inquired about what we booked vs the room assignment, I was told no room’s available. Despite the fact that paid for a bigger bed. I can not recommend this place. I honestly think the hotels give lesser rooms to folks that booked through a third party company.

Skønt ophold med 3 overnatninger. Venligt personale, rent og god og velassorteret morgenmad. Vi boede på 1. sal i hotellets bygning over for og man bør vide, at der ikke er elevator. Svendborg er en skøn by, der har det hele.

Da vi ankom måtte vi vente 15 min før der overhovedet var nogen i receptionen, selvom vi ringede gentagne gange på klokken. Efter et kvarter dukkede receptionisten op, med en halv fadøl i hånden. Dagen efter skulle vi låne noget bestik i receptionen men opgav efter 10 min, fordi der ingen receptionist var. Der var klokken 19:30. Der er utrolig meget larm. Når folk går rundt ved siden af, eller ovenpå, kan man tydelig høre det. Også om natten. Jeg har støvallergi, og jeg var nødt til at tage piller mod det. Der så ikke beskidt ud, men der var virkelig meget støv i puder, gulvtæpper og sikkert under sengen. Hotellet ligger et skønt sted, tæt på vand og by og er dejlig uhøjtideligt.

Vi fik et værelse i den gule bygning, som var stort og rummeligt, men desværre var møblerne meget slidte, og gardinerne hang ikke ordentligt. Desværre var larmen om natten et stort problem, da værelset ligger tæt på et værtshus, og vi kunne høre både trafik og larm fra folk hele natten. Sengen var desværre også meget stiv, og de to puder, vi fik, var af meget dårlig kvalitet, hvilket gjorde det svært at få en god nats søvn. Morgenmaden var dog ok. Men baseret på kvaliteten af værelset, vil jeg sige, at det ikke er mere end 1000 kr. værd per nat. Jeg havde håbet på bedre komfort og mere ro, men desværre levede opholdet ikke helt op til mine forventninger.
