Would go again
Chelsea cloisters is a massive apartment building with 9 floors and lots of studios and apartments. Advise to ask for a room that doesn’t face the road as it is very noisy being a main road. We got one that faced the back. It was clean, tidy, and not far from South Kensington underground station. There is a sainsbury close by and restaurants, pubs but be warned these are expensive

Variable Quality, Not Worth The Rack Rate
You will stay at Chelsea Cloisters because of the convenient location as I have done many times (four times in the last month) so you will ignore the check-in staff who replicate BOTs. You will also ignore the random quality of the rooms-my last one had a pane of glass missing with hole covered in cling film. These planned aren’t worth the rack rate-look for a last minute price is my advice.

There are only two very small and very slow lifts serving this large property. Be prepared to wait for the lifts or walk a lot of stairs.

Hotel gave us a great cost effective option for traveling to london with kids. It was listed as a 3.5 star but we gave it a chance because the price point for a two bedroom was the same as for a more luxurious 1 bedroom. It worked well for us but there were a number of things that make the 3 star rating valid. 1. We had one of the biggest rooms on the floor but it was still micro efficiency. 2. The heat was radiant thoughout the building and tough for them to regulate. It got really warm at night even with the windows open. 3. There were two main elevators with fairly small cars. One was broken the entire week of our stay with no signs that it was being worked on. Hotel is too big to only have one small car. We normally walked the 4 flights of stairs. 4. It was great to have a combo washer dryer, but the dryer really didnt work. Clothes still came out damp and needed to be hung up. 5. General maintenance like cracked tiles in the kitchen, water damage to the trim and wooden fixtures in the bathroom and some mildew on the ceiling above the shower.
The staff was friendly though, and the other residents were super quiet. Like. amazingly quiet for being in a hotel in the city and sleeping with the windows open. The location was ideal too. So many things nearby to see and just a short walk to the south kensington tube staition. Over all im happy that we stayed here but there is room for improvement.

Good location, needs attention to the details
Good location. Front desk staff were helpful.
Bedrooms are small. There was no curtain in one of the bathrooms so the builders opposite could see anyone in there.
There was bad condensation problem with mold on the windows. Housekeeping did a good job cleaning when we complained. There was no long hanging in the wardrobes nor any coat hooks. The kitchenette was sparsely equipped. There was a microwave oven, but it lacked the convection function needed to heat many ready meals supplied in foil trays. Two of the three lifts were out of order for the duration of my stat and the one working one was very slow. The street noise was very loud in the evenings.

The property is old and very noisy on the street side. There is bad mould in the bathroom and the floor next to bath in the bedroom has sunken away from dampness.
However it was clean and kitchen and washing machine worked well. Staff isn’t particularly helpful or friendly.
Great location to see London from. Bicycle hire right outside.

Was a bed for the night in a central location, but the apartment was dated the bathroom smelt of damp.
The pictures online felt like false advertising, the apartments need a refresh
Was apprehensive from the reviews as was very 50:50
If you just want somewhere central and cheep book it but if you want somewhere clean and nice I wouldn’t

Convenient and safe hotel
I was helping my daughter move into an apartment in Chelsea so this location was ideal. Close to supermarkets, pharmacies, South Kensington station very close, Lots od restaurants and easy to get anywhere. The building is old- 1930s but rooms were nicely renovated. I needed to open my window for air circulation and the noise of the street and a crossing sign were present until later evening. Internet was included not extra as I had read in prior reviews. Staff is very nice. Building is clean but just older carpets in main areas etc… Overall great stay.
