All Good Except For This Situation.
My experience was good overall as it has been the case since I started traveling to Carlsbad for business. This time around though, with the high winds and cold weather, I experienced a situation with my room 324. One of the window panels was loose and not sealing properly, I tried pushing it out to see if it was something correctable however, it's just sign of an outdated window. The cold air overpowered the A/C unit so, it was a cold couple of nights.

Good solid place to stay for a reasonable price. Pet friendly and an affordable pet fee. Staff was accommodating and nice. Room was clean but not perfect. I'd stay again.

No Hot Water inWinter
We were not informed the hot water was off when we checked in. They had issues since the day before. When i called , they said it would be on in 30 mins after I called. We should been informed to move to another hotel or given some sort of compensation.

Nightmare experience
We were on a road trip our two year old son. The manager at the front desk checked us in, knowing that there was no heat and hot water, during this peak winter. We settled into the room and we were trying to give a bath to our son, we realized that there was no hot water and later realized that the heat in the room isn’t working aswell. When asked, the manager said they had an issue and had to turn heat and hot water off. If she was aware of the issue, why didn’t she mention it to us?? With a rude and blunt voice, she asked us to check out if we want at 11pm in the night, without any apology for all the inconvenience. We had to find and move to a different hotel. Terrible and worst experience ever. There were a lot of other guests went through the same experience.

It was a great stay. The front desk attendants were super nice and accommodating!!! And the shower water pressure the best!! Soft fluffy towels too!! Breakfast could use a little work but still good

Beds were fairly comfortable. Bathroom wasn’t very clean. They also have these scent sprayers in the elevator foyer that are just terrible. They are low down and if they go off while waiting for the elevator, you get showered in this horrible scent.
