Had a great dinner. Minimal dr. staff taking care of guests but managing exceptionally well. Room was comfortable, great towels in bathroom.
One comment. Dining room was mostly set up with tables for more than 2 people but most guests were couples maybe offer more tables/2

The Seljord hotel is a charming well maintained hotel in Telemark County, Norway. Breakfasts were excellent - full hot breakfast buffet. Dinners have pizza and a very small selection of typical Norwegian dishes. Note that the hotel elevator only goes to the 2nd floor - if you get a 3rd floor room you will be hefting luggage up and down one set of stairs. Bar service is available from 3PM and prices are very reasonable (for Norway). Our 2nd floor room had a spacious balcony. As most hotels in Norway, air conditioning is accomplished by opening the windows.

So charming hotel, good price for size of room. The room has sun roof but no shade. Fortunately I brought my sleep mask for it.

I would come back here
Very friendly and welcoming staff. The room I had was a bit outdated (80s bathroom), but bed was very comfy and room was clean. This is an old wood building, so you will hear your neighbors. Decent dinner in the restaurant and a very nice library bar. As at most hotels in Norway, the breakfast was solid and tasty

A gem off the beaten track!
Great friendly staff, clean rooms, and a neat out of the way place to stay to experience real Norway. Breakfasts were wonderful and included with room. The restraunt was the only decent place in town and served a limited menu but what they offer was good.

Perfect stay
Clean, quiet, beautiful historic hotel. We stayed only one night on a road trip, wish we could have stayed longer. The restaurant was also excellent.

Avarage hotel with friendly staff.
The extra bed was really hard and my back hurt. But otherwise this was a charming hotel and good service.

Quaint Hotel in a Beautiful Area
The Seljord Hotel is a beautiful place and has a lot of character. The people were exceptionally nice and helpful. The food in the restaurant wonderful. The hotel is old, so the the rooms are small, but they are nicely furnished and comfortable. Our room had a balcony, which was delightful.

Great hotel and very nice staff
I stayed in 3 hotels during my time in Norway and Seljord Hotell was my favorite! The hotel looks really cute look on the outside. It's a small hotel in a small and beautiful town. (Home of Selma the Serpent!) We had dinner there and that too was SO good. The room was very comfortable and the blackout curtains did the job. My husband and I are already planning our next visit.

Fint hotell
