I had a terrible experience with this property. They essentially stole my money and offered no services. Due to passport problems, my family was unable to travel to Rome (which was devastating for us). Hotels.com was unwilling to do anything, other than call the property and ask them to refund our money. It was only then that I learned I had a booked a “special” price that could not be refunded, even if I couldn’t get to the country.
Hotels’ final solution was for me to try to call and email the property. After doing so multiple times, Candia Inn wouldn’t even respond to me. Rather than treat me fairly, they charged me hundreds of dollars for a room that sat empty. Meanwhile, Hotels would do nothing to right the situation. Hotels and Candia Inn took a disastrous situation with a passport and made it that much worse.
