4/10 Fair

Although the staff was very nice and helpful, the hotel was worn and tired. Odd smell when we got off on 5th floor. No odor in room however. The room was very noisy for sleeping. Lots of trucks and sirens. Bed cover very thin. Honestly I could have stayed at Motel 6 for the same level of service and saved money in the long run.

It is always a pleasure to stay at the Rialto. It's the only hotel in Laredo where I have never had a problem.

2/10 Poor

The place is horrible. Super outdated. They have AC units on windows and the elevator does not work. When checking out, they had someone mopping the stairs and I slipped since I was carrying my luggage . Horrible place to stay. I do not recommend at all

Overall property & room was clean. The ac room was OFF so it took awhile to cool. Also the elevator was out of order & my room was in 3rd floor.

6/10 Good

Positive: Staff is very friendly; Negative: Elevator is not working so one must use the stairs which can be problematic; Rooms that have small window units which can't keep up with South Texas summer heat; Dozens of cats in the parking lot cause a variety of issues including urine smell.

Wonderful nostalgic hotel with plenty of Laredo (Est 1755) history nearby and I so is the hotel which served many businesses including the Mexican Embassy. The Rialto Hotel will celebrate its 100 years next year. There’s a pharmacy downstairs too! The check in clerk was friendly and knowledgeable of nearby opportunities. Parking was safe and they have numerous cameras. The room was very clean and comfortable. We wish we had booked two nights but we have time constraints. We are definitely coming back. The price was reasonable and well worth the stay. Highly recommended and safe. There’s a federal courthouse across the street. There’s also 3rd party restaurant inside the hotel but we are checking out early. Coffee, pastries, fruits and toast are free in the lobby. Fantastico!
