My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Wellton Riverside Spa Hotel (Riga). The service was exceptional, the front desk is always staffed with courteous employees that speak a variety of languages. The hotel was very clean, the room was very comfortable and the hotel provided a terrific breakfast!

Overall perfect hotel. Not luxury but perfect. SPA is even better than in pictures, staff is very careful, attentive and warm, especially Laine at the front desk. Location couldn’t be better, right by the river on busy Krasta iela but sound isolation is great as well, therefore good night sleep is guaranteed. Definitely will be back. Thank You!

We stayed the first night at Hilton and compared to that the level of service felt like a little bit of a downgrade. Breakfast was 5/5 though, buffet with a lot of options to choose from and a separate ”omelette station” where they prepare you freshly made omelettes. Nice and modern hotel with a friendly staff! Minibar prices were quite affordable. Room was nice but the bed could had been a bit more wider. The view on the terrace was superb but it was lacking a bar. Terrace is overlooking the river so the sunset was beautiful. Located close to the bus station and at the edge of the old town. Bars, pubs and restaurants are 3-5min walk away from the hotel. Spa was quite busy so book it early, spa is 15€/person and in my opinion not worth it. Usually spa price is included in the room price. Instead book a private spa for 2 for 25€ (for 2hrs I think). You get a private sauna and a jacuzzi.

The hotel itself is not bad at all. It is well laid out and the rooms are equipped as you would expect. I have only 2 moments that made it less than excellent. The check in. It is at 15:00 and seems to be strictly so. I know there is a baggage room but we also had spa treatments booked that were earlier at 14:00. The lobby desk is very busy and lots of people are there. Having a dedicated concerige not for checkin might help. Literally everyone was in a queue to check in and be told that its at 15:00 ... It was awkward lugging around the travelcase down to the spa. We did however get a locker which is fine. However the staff at the counter in the Spa were either over worked or dont care. One particular staff member had a horrible attitude an felt like she was looking at us in the sense "what do you want" some how surprised that we would like to use the spa. Since our room could not be checked into an the treatment was booked earlier we had no room number to give. Honestly felt a little awkward standing there feeling like we had somehow done something wrong. The staff that carry out the treatments were amazing though. They made the previous experiences melt away and we just didnt really let it bother us. We thought lets book a massage for the next day. When we had finished and went to do this we were told to come back when we had a room number which im sure would be easier but also soured our previous good vibes.

Very clean, rooms are smalish but ok. Service was friendly. There was a lot of flies in the room (from the open window) and when we told about this the roomservice were unable to do anything and we had to live with the flies. Breakfast was ok but quite baltic, be there on time as they are not able to fill it as fast as they should. Wery few parking places maybe 5 or so. Location is good.

Nice hotel and the breakfast is fabulous. The room was very tight ( not at all like the pictures) and the room was in a separate building which was odd! Also had to pay €15 per person for the pool ( which was not stated when booking through Expedia) The location is fantastic with the bus stop to the airport right outside.
