Perfect for the night
I book three rooms for a group of 2 adults with 6 teenagers. Its not a fancy place but certainly a comfortable one. Its close to everything just 20 min walk from the boat docks. Live music and entertainment, bar, snack mobile, Hammocks, scooter rentals all you can possibly needs for a short fun stay. Just 2 blocks from the famous Key West buoy. Front desk service was kind and efficient. Will stay here again.

The check in process was easy. The property offers 2 pools,( 1 smaller heated one) which are clean, and a very basic continental breakfast with several comfortable outdoor areas. Unfortunately, maid service is only every 3 days, but we had to specifically ask for our room to be done because our room was not initally on the list for our 3rd day there. The room, itself, is clean, but is a very, very dated room with a tiny bathroom, though the bed is comfortable. The location is great and musical entertainment is offered daily as part of the complex, along with outdoor bar and pricy ice cream truck. The Cuban restaurant across the street is casual and delicious. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Great location with great staff.
Check in was quick and painless. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Thanks for the hospitality. Location is perfect, 2 blocks from southern most point and 1 mile to sloppy Joe’s. Never had to drive anywhere.

Helpful staff, simple but clean renovated rooms, teensy bathroom and no bathroom fan so we must open windows (in full view of passersby). Parking is tight w lg vehicle. Good bargain
We were out enjoying the weather, however the room was okay. Little small. Could have used another side table for the other side of the bed. Maybe a dresser/closet. We didn’t have any place to put our clothes. We did like the bar, they had good drinks. The cafe/deli across the street was nice and it was nice to be away from Duval street. Very quiet and we liked our little patio. The pass to the beach was nice too. We would stay here again.

Nice place, nice staff
Comfy motel a block away from the quieter end of Duval St, less than a mile from the busy end. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and near the Southernmost point buoy. Nice bed and has lawn chairs out front. Fridge, sink and microwave in room. Resort fee allows us on to a nice beach with beach chairs and towels a few minutes walk away. Pool onsite but a bit chilly in winter. Super staff giving suggestions, reservation help and some discount cards. Special thanks to Erin and Neilam. Highly recommend.

Nice Winter Get-Away
Southwinds is an old beach motel located near the beach and the Southernmost Point. It's away from all the hustle of Duval Street but still a close walk to get to restaurants and bars. If you are looking for the Hilton, this isn't your place to stay, it's clean but not fancy. It could use some updating, beds are of average comfort, pillows are just okay, continental breakfast was adequate. The pools are nice, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was convenient to have a liquor store and bar on premise. Free parking. We would stay there again.

Great location, clean, but small and outdated.
This is a no frills, clean motel, with free parking, in a good location. We did not take advantage of the included breakfast, we had forgotten about it. We also didn’t use either of the pools. The room was clean but a bit outdated and small. The bathroom was also very small. There was a mini fridge, a microwave, air conditioning, and ample parking. The desk service employee was friendly. This motel is located within close walking distance to Duval Street, the Southernmost Buoy, and a lot of other amenities.

Stay 9 night I didn't like my room because was behind the fence I did ask For another room they say no They could not move me to the other room. . And then 2 days later I went to the office and I asked again. Nice lady, Karen. Move us to the other room I really appreciate thank you. I am coming to this hotel for 20 years.
