It was a nice place to stay. When we check in at first our room on the bottom floor was flooded because of rain. So they change into a different room which we are happy with that. Maintenance man was very nice to help us out to change room.

We had a truly disappointing and distressing experience during our recent stay. The management was unprofessional and confrontational, and the lifeguards—many of whom appeared young and untrained—were on clear power trips. They were even laughing and celebrating after calling the police and shutting down the pool, which created a traumatic situation for our children. At no point were our kids destroying property, despite what management claimed. Even the police officers on scene disagreed with the staff’s version of events but were obligated to act due to the manager’s behavior. This situation was escalated unnecessarily, and it was clear the issue stemmed from poor staff conduct, not from guests. To make matters worse, the room we stayed in smelled strongly of mold, raising concerns about cleanliness and air quality. I urge ownership to take a hard look at who is representing their property. Management and lifeguard staff need to be reevaluated, and facility maintenance clearly needs attention. What happened was unacceptable and not something any family should have to endure on vacation

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality, service and attention to details - like infused ice water and a board with hours in the lobby - for such a reasonable rate. We've paid more for far less in the past at other places. The room was very spacious even with a king bed, a full sized couch bed (we didn't need it to sleep on, but it was comfortable to sit on), a desk and full size television and hutch for microwave, refrigerator and safe. The decor was more "high-end" than expected. I would give this a 5 star except for some small issues of worn out things: cabinets were very worn, cracked and peeling on the bottom; the shower drain plug needed to be removed so the water could drain because it was broken; the hanging system in the closet wasn't very functional, the suitcase stand was broken; and the microwave was rusted. Otherwise, it was impressive for the price and very comfortable and clean. Unfortunately, the pool area was over-crowded but on a holiday weekend that was not surprising.

So so of a stay

It was ok, Friday and Saturday had a bit of a wild crowd and security was there on Saturday. Door on first floor to pool was taken off hinges and left open so anybody could go in and out. Thank god for double locks on hotel room door. Nobody seemed to take care of that matter. Seemed almost like a free for all. Food and drinks are quite pricy. It’s was $35 for one drink and a cheeseburger.

The hotel was pretty good. I booked it because it had a lazy river and the price was great. The room was clean and in good shape. The lazy river was ok it was small but it served its purpose. I went down the slide too and it was good ive been on worse. Plenty of life guards. It was just me and my husband so we just wanted to relax. I will definitely go back to relaz some more.

We booked this room for a weekend for a sporting event for our child. Many other families booked here. After the championship the kids came back to enjoy the pool and were all having a great time. The lifeguards under direction from the manager ordered the kids not to JUMP in the pool. Yes jump.. of course this did not go over well and though the kids did settle down some the hotel called the police. After 16 police arrived they ordered the pool to be shut down. So we all paid a resort fee to use a pool that we were locked out of because kids were having fun and jumping into the pool. It was absurd!!! And you can be sure our group of 100’s of family’s will not be back after years of staying in this same hotel.

Poor management of the amenities

The BMX community is family oriented and after our state championship we all wanted to go back to the hotel to used the pool and amenities to celebrate. With no real reason except, there was a lot of us- ( all staying at the hotel btw) we got kicked out of the pool area around 7 pm - they even called the cops. If you can’t handle your own guest- then they should consider their own capacity issue.

Avoid no fun allowed

I had an extremely disappointing experience at The Red Lion in Kissimmee, Florida. The staff was incredibly rude, unaccommodating, and unwilling to resolve even basic issues. Our room and bathroom were dirty, and there was a consistent lack of pool towels available. The pool area was chaotic and poorly managed. The hotel clearly cannot support the number of guests using the facilities. To make matters worse, lifeguards and hotel staff were aggressive and unprofessional, even going so far as to call the police simply because they couldn’t handle the guest volume. Guests were kicked out of the pool three hours before the posted closing time with no valid explanation. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, but the hostility and mismanagement completely ruined our stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was supposed to have complimented breakfast but they said only one room was on the list! I booked two rooms at the same time and it was supposed to be breakfast for both! Very disappointed this is the first time this happened and I ❤️this hotel and so I had to pay for the breakfast!
