A positive outlook.
It was a nice stay. However, a few things that we believed needed some help. The door did look completely lock, the furniture could use an updating. There was 1 bed bug i found on my side of the bed. The employees did come to the room right away take the beddding away. They also asked if we wanted to switch rooms. We did, we did check for others. The halfway smelled stale. We did like the location. We did enjoy the breakfast. And would stay there again.

Perfect for my purposes—had to change rooms on initial check in. First room was soiled (upholstery) and smelled unclean. Second room much better. One complaint is the staff regularly takes smoking breaks at front entrance which should be prohibited and gives a bad impression.

Nice stay
The space was adequate for 2 adults and a teen. We liked the kitchenette and breakfast. Took advantage of the all hours, free coffee area in the lobby. Room and bathroom were clean, however lots of cobwebs up in the ceiling of the kitchen. Noticed immediately that the mirror light was out in the bathroom and called for a fix the first night. Reminded the lobby again about the Light the next morning. No one from maintenance ever came to replace the bulb. Several soap dispensers were empty and the replacement bottles were nearly impossible to get open. The heat and hot water were great after a chilly day in Syracuse!

Last Legs
The state of this hotel is sad. Everything is really dated but it's also not clean, things in the rooms don't work, and some of the supplies are branded from other hotel chains. As it is suites, there is a kitchen but asking for more than one plate and coffee cup (since that's all there were) got us paper versions of both. That really didn't matter but it just seems like this place is barely holding it together. The staff is friendly, for the most part, and did their best. I just wouldn't stay here again, especially at the rate we paid for the room.

We've stayed here many times while visiting our daughter. The two-bedroom, two-bath option is very nice. I would note that this hotel could use a big hug—updating furniture and fixtures, new carpets, etc. It always has a musty smell, and everything in the rooms is outdated.

The rooms have plenty of space for a family visit to the area. The room and hallways smelt like old cigarrettes even with it being a non-smoking facility. We felt better getting cleaning supplies ourselves to clean the surfaces and floors with a young child around. The fabreeze and lysol we used could not cover the cigarette smell. The breakfast is a nice set up however made me sick. If any items are needed from the desk such as sheets, towels, and even a plunger during the evening you have to go get it yourself from the front desk. There are also only ice makers on the first floor but it is nice they have a guest laundry area on each floor. The front desk staff are very nice.

Rooms were a bit outdated but spacious. Free parking. A bit pricey being so far from downtown. Remote didn’t work for the television and only one person was working nights so they couldn’t assist. It was ok but probably would pay extra to stay closer to the city next time.
