Majestic Colonial OK
Husband and I travel either to Mexico or Punta Cana twice per year. Always stay at AI. Stayed at the Majestic Colonial Club level May 18 to May 24. Pros: gorgeous grounds thru out the resort, lobby impressive and bars have very good service, rooms was roomy and layed out well. Bartenders and waiters/waitresses very good. Cons: housekeeping of rooms was disappointing. Had to have butler get us bottles of water and washcloths. Even had to ask for toilet paper! These things should be checked every day. Never had this problem in any other resort we stayed at. Our empty bar glasses where not taken until our last day. Beach feels cramped as all the loungers and shade huts very close together. Towels from towel hut should be thrown away. Very thin and very used. Food was just passable. Didn't go to either of the two restaurants that reservations needed as husband didn't bring long pants and tired of the hibachi shows. Food didn't seem to have any seasoning, buffets where cold unless you got there when opened, some food way overcooked. Sports Bar food was good. Overall we had a good time, but resort was just OK. Didn't think Colonial Club worth an upcharge. Would not give it a 5 star rating.

All around great!
Majestic Colonial is amazing! The grounds are beautiful and there are always people out there working on it. All of the servers at the restaurants and bars were friendly and helpful. The room was amazing and the cleaners did a great job. Our fridge was constantly refilled and we even got turn down nightly service. We stayed at the Colonial Club side and loved Le Gourmet for breakfast and lunch. The sports bar also deserves a shout out for being awesome!

The resort over all was great. Extremely beautiful. We weren’t thrilled with the food. The French restaurant was wonderful, buffet was OK but the other restaurants weren’t good. It wouldn’t deter us from coming back though bc the beach and pool were awesome. I didn’t make a big deal but I would like to let someone know that on Friday after house keeping came, someone laid in our bed and there was a huge wet spot (im assuming it was sweat, you could see where the persons bottom and legs were by where it was wet) where they were laying. They put the pillows behind them and I’m guessing took a nap.
