Nice property for a short stay

Nice property for a few nights. I wouldn’t stay here for more than a few days because the food and alcohol can be hit or miss. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. Loved the beach - lots of room for everyone to be comfortable and water was excellent but a bit wavy so be mindful of that

Not really a 5 star

Hotel describes itself as 5 star, but more realistically it should be high end 3 star. It’s all a little dated with lots of maintenance issues outstanding, for instance, many public area toilets without locks, damaged pathways, poorly kept mini golf, poor quality bath towels, poor mosquito controls (complex us built on reclaimed mangrove area) and many rooms have poor views. The bar service varies, with US dollar tippers getting the best service, even though tips are supposedly included. Communication with the hotel via email was poor, with requests being ignored.

Only real complaint, beach chairs are being hogged all day by people who arent even near by or on beach. Setting towels on chairs first thing in the morning then going about their days without spending much time on the chairs at all. Room also would get a musky stink and sewer smells every afternoon.

Family Fun only

This resort is on a beautiful beach and the campus is well designed and lovely! The people are very nice and the service as good. However it is a very large resort so the service at times is slow and also mistakes are made. Our dinner reservations were input mistakenly twice and our internet service went out time after time even with the platinum package. We wasted too much time at reception trying to correct mistakes! The room was clean but we frequently had to ask for towels as they didn’t always replace them. The towels and linens need replacing as they are tattered and scratchy! The king bed was like a trampoline; when my husband moved I was tossed making it difficult to sleep. Also my pillow was large and hard. But my biggest issue was with the food. Although the restaurants are very pretty and the atmosphere always nice the food is bland and meats fatty and tough. Platinum package got us 2 nights worth of upgraded dinners and one a lobster yet still not so hot. Platinum gets you a special section on the beach with nicer lounges and near and restaurant and bar which is great. The downside is that it is near the area where they hold activities and music is always blasting. It gets on your nerve after awhile. I’d recommend this resort for families with kids as they do a great job entertaining them however it is not for couples seeking a quiet vacation.

We weren’t aware you could not flush your toilet paper after using the bathroom and the hot tubs were not hot. Drinks - meh to passing but nothing to be excited about. The grounds were beautiful and clean. Annoying, harassing staff trying to have you sit for a time share should not be allowed.

The food was colorful but tasted the same. It would seem that the island is surrounded by ocean and sea on all four sides, but you won’t see any seafood except fried fish and crab sticks. There was cockroach in room. Plus the toilet and bathroom was in bed condition was fly. Be careful the check in Stuff can send you to another hotel. They don't let your taxi into the hotel grounds if you didn't order it through them so you need to walking about 300meters to your taxi, even if you are leaving this place with your children and heavy things.

Overall what I disliked about the property was a few things. There is guys in orange shirts who harras you all over the hotel u can't relax you can't go anywhere without almost with no choice left to go to a informational meeting bout investing in the hotel we spend half of a day doing this unessasary task. It was pushy and untastleful. The other problem I had there was minor damage done to a bathroom door in my room. We attented guest services we gathered information as to how much was the damage. I stated this will be taken care of when I check out reason being I wanted to enjoy the time u had in the location. The concierge non stop called my room and I would state the same answer. We went to a restaurant in the property and even one of the servers gave us a message to go to guest services to pay for the damage. There was no intention of leaving the property without paying for any damages but we were harrassed as well. The room the bathroom smelled like sewage the drain in the bathroom a really bad smell would come out every time you would shower Food was not great but not the worst we stepped out to a restaurant called delicias that was the best food we had the whole trip I would not come back to this property

Giving 4 stars overall, just because of the service from the staff. Pros: Amazing friendly staff and beautiful well maintained grounds. Beach is nice. They offered a nice dessert plate for the people with birthdays in the room. Great staff at the coffee place, the have lactose free milk and milk alternatives Cons: - food is subpar: overall the buffet was basic, and mostly too salty for my tastebuds. if you know how authentic Chinese or south East Asian food tastes, I wouldn’t recommend getting a reservation at the Chinese restaurant. Brazilian restaurant was okay. We couldn’t get a reservation at the Italian restaurant. Make sure to book the restaurant reservation as soon as you check-in. - coffee place is near the lobby far from the rooms and pools.

We paid for an all inclusive which had always the same food on the restaurant and on the buffet, there was nothing good to it on it. At night we went to the rodizio and we got as entrance the same food there was on the buffet, besides waiting 1 hour to get our food they were offering chicken which I don’t eat. So basically I had to wait an hour and a half to eat pichana which was their “special cut” it was awful and I could get only a little piece of meat after complaining with the administration. At the breakfast we requested coffee and weren’t severed until we would ask it the way they wanted us to ask for it. We were never rude we just didn’t use the words they wanted to hear which is very rude and strange for an expensive hotel and that is supposed to have all inclusive and customer service focused. The drinks even though they had alcohol it seemed to be mixed with water, I drank a lot and was not even a bit tipsy. The drinks they had were pure sugar…. I strongly don’t recommend this hotel. We could not use the pool after 6 pm or before 10 am which doesn’t make sense. Waze directions to the hotel were not clear and we had to guess it was the right hotel.

This resort is located on the best stretch of beach in Punta Cana or Bavaro region! The activities during the day are excellent for both children and adults. The staff are friendly and always hard working to make the resort a pleasant and memorable experience! Special shout out to Cristian Lopez and Ana Patricia who helped to make dining a wonderful experience...and Wally, el hefe at the swim up bar who kept us hydrated...good people such as these make this resort a special place!
