This vintage motel isn’t much to look at from outside, but my recently renovated room, though compact, was clean, quiet and tastefully decorated. As a senior, I appreciated the relatively bright bathroom lighting and the grab bar and non-slip floor in the shower. The on-site parking is very convenient, though the spaces are tight. The neighborhood is safe, and dozens of restaurants and bars, a CVS, and a Target are all within an easy walk.

I had an awesome time staying at Ohio House Motel. I’ve driven by it for decades. It was located convenient to the events I needed to do in Chicago, both uptown, and downtown. I’m glad there was on site parking for a very nominal fee, compared to other hotels in the city.

Rooms were clean, beds were comfy. Parking was very convenient. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I liked how although it was a motel, the rooms were in sections and you needed to have a key to access your room so not just anyone could get to the room. That and the gate around the motel made me feel safe.

For location and quality of rooms, I would highly recommend this establishment. The only downside to our stay is that the walls of the rooms were very thin and we could easily hear people opening doors, talking, and walking at all hours of the night. If you have earplugs, then no worries.

Room was fantastic. Very updated. Very clean. Garbage cans were a little small. Had easy to use safe. Was given a choice of room locations to better fit our needs. Staff went out of their way to courier forgotten bag to train station. Would recommend and would stay there again. Also close by to Target, Walgreens, and Starbucks.
