Good value and updated but the room odor
From the time we entered the office to when got to our first room to when we ate in the wonderful restaurant, the service was very good. We were welcomed with a cheerful young woman who spoke very clear English and greeted us with their homemade cocktail, which could be my new favorite beverage! The manager was also gracious and showed us to our room, which was on the first floor. That’s when it got sketchy. The odor in the room hit us like a brick wall. I thought it was a cigarette mix with cigar smell, and my sister thought it was dog smell. It was strong and we didn’t think we could manage in that room. We went to the office to ask for a different room and in a few minutes or taken to a different first floor room. We thought that that rooms older was a bit less and that we could maybe spend the night there, but after undressing and getting into the shower, the water didn’t come out of the showerhead. So back to the office we went after getting dressed again and young man taking over the front desk cheerfully placed us in a third floor room. This room had even less, but it was still there odor and we asked him to get the shower running before he left which he did. so we stayed in the third room and did OK. These large rooms appear to be identical and everything you need for a comfortable night stay. There’s a large pool outside and lounge chairs. We were extremely impressed with the restaurant where we had dinner and breakfast that were super tasty and great service.

Faranda Single 1
The stay was excellent. The room was really nice and clean. There is a washer and dryer which is very convenient. We slept very well in the comfortable bed, but had an issue with the traffic noise and loud music at night. The view was very nice, overlooking the pool with the view of downtown. The breakfast was excellent each morning. We cooked our dinner. The pots and pans were to a minimum so we made due with the cooking utensils they had, good thing we went to the store as well. There was a lot of construction that was visible due to new future construction. All of the employees from the front desk to house keeping restaurant staff and security were very professional and pleasant. There is a natural walking path that you would need assistance to step down or climb up if you are not athletic or in shape to do so. The path leads to an intersection that you have to cross to get to downtown which includes the mall, grocery store, restaurants gas station, entertainment and so on. In my opinion it is walking distance from the hotel. It would be nice to consider making a sidewalk for guest safety so to not be injured by the natural walk path. They do provide transportation in which you have to pay for, just ask the front desk and they will help you with all of your transportation needs. Thank you to all Faranda Single 1 employees!

Fantastic on every level!
Wonderful hotel, fantastic staff, incredibly well managed. Pool area is one of the nicest I have ever been to, the restaurant is great, just all around a fabulous place to stay. I had a problem with my rental car and Rafael went above and beyond to help me. He and his staff are super friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough about how terrific Faranda is. If you are coming Punta Cana you have to stay here.

First off the property is hard as hell to find. Like the gps could not get us there due to new construction project and gos not aware, and the Spanish speaking locals could not help my English speaking self. It is located off a dirt road with no signage off a highway. The room itself emits very nice but there were hella bugs in there like mosquitoes and flies. Not hella but a few and that was livable. What took the cake was there were ants in the bed. Yes actual ants coming out and from the bed pillows etc. that was the only place I seen them but that was the worse place they could be. After coming in after partying all unwanted to do was sleep but couldn’t sleep in the bed due to that and it was like 5 am I didn’t want to move rooms so I just stuck it out. They did have a pullout couch but I wanted the king. Other than the flies, mosquitoes. And ants it was nice. Staff was super nice and cool.

The room and property itself is wonderful. Staff work hard and are attentive and very helpful. The pool was kept clean and beautiful. The gym was adequate for us. There is a small mall close by with grocery store. The negatives are that there is lots of construction and a busy highway so not really recommended to walk anywhere which we like to do
