Friendly staff, excellent food, clean rooms. Great music was always playing which makes it nice. The pool areas and beaches were always clean. Drinks were high, $20 USA for a 1 ounce pour of Gentleman Jack over ice.

LOVED this stay,
Loved the resort in all aspects: beautiful hotel, staff were fabulous, location, beach, pool, hot tub, restaurants, room was HUGE, big balcony overlooking central grounds with great ocean view. Food was very good, breakfast was over the top, every item you could possibly want was available, and some items were changed up over the 5 days. Great steaks in Brasso for dinner, Bao Asian Kung Pao excellent, If you go into Punta Cana we ate at Noah's, food was fabulous and had the coldest beer we've ever had in our lives. We golfed at La Cana, great course, not hard, we didn't use a caddy and our scores were same as at home (unlike Pebble Beach where a caddy is necessary unless you want to shoot a very high score) Very few kids as it was just after the holidays. A large Jewish group arrived on day 4 for us about 15-20 pre-teens, all well behaved and not raucous at all. May have been the 1-15-2025 Jewish holiday.

The Westin should offer more food options on it's hotel menu and should drop the guacamole/ tomatillo from the menu. It was horrible. Please don't order it! It was more of a sour tomatillo sauce.

The rooms are large, as are the balconies. Pools--lovely. Beach--lovely. Food--mediocre and overpriced. Very limited options for vegetarians and for vegans -- really bad. Spa--onsite location is not relaxing. The main spa is lovely. Also overpriced. Service was awful everywhere except the spa (Nok is an excellent massage therapist.). Rude, slow, indifferent. A couple of people were very helpful and friendly: Rosie in the breakfast restaurant, Jonthan and Ramon at the beach bar. Housekeeping was lackadaisical at best. Everything is ready for a refresh. Half the bathroom stalls don't latch/lock. The furniture cushions are grimy and many are split. ANd the noise. Godawful. No sliders on the feet of any chairs, all scraping against the tile floors all the time and in the rooms above and below you. Music 8am - 9pm EVERYWHERE including the beach. And it's the same music every day. In some spots you're subjected to music from the restaurant as well as the property speakers. All in all, really a big disappointment. I've always loved city-based Westin properties. Maybe they don't know how to do resort.

The hotel was very well kept inside and out although maybe a little dated. The rooms really need to have proper bathroom doors. The current design doesn’t provide much privacy. The entire staff was wonderful…..very friendly, warm and responsive. They seemed to genuinely care that their guests have the best experience possible. The hotel provided transportation everywhere around the property making it so easy to get around. Our vacation was spectacular.
