We enjoyed our stay
We stayed for 4 nights. Room was tiny and the access to washroom was challenging:) Otherwise it's a great location, very friendly service and tasty food. Very clean and well organized. Just be aware the hotel is above the pub and it could be loud during weekend evening time.

Exceptional 10.0
Great room, pub, food and best location.
We loved this place. We usually stay at high ended hotel chains such as Sofitel, but decided to go more local in London. It was a great decision. The pub was a happy place with lots of people, minus the sad drunks. The food was so good we ate there every night and the prices were great. We are foodies and I am an experienced international cook, and was really impressed with offerings. We ate at some choice restaurants at lunch, but still looked forward to supper at The Wellington. The room: the bathroom was new, so very clean. The shower had great shower head and hand held and towels were very large and fluffy. The bed was very comfortable and mostly sound proof room: Could not hear music in pub, but 1 night there were some noisy neighbors. The room had a filled fridge with items to buy and the bottled water was free. The price included breakfast. My husband got the full English every day, but real good pancakes on 1 day. I ate croissants and coffee. They had very good coffee or could order cappacino. I highly recommend The Wellington. The employees were all incredibly helpful. There is no lift and no rooms on main floor. They helped us with luggage up the stairs. I will stay there again. Often we hit Europe at London first. Now I have a place I want to stay for a few days. Also it is at Waterloo Station, busiest Station in London. Trains, busses, etc. The tour hop on hop off around the block.

Nice Pub stay - already booked again!
A great location at a reasonable price. 2nd Floor so no pub noise and nothing significant from the trains - but nice to be provided with ear plugs just in case!. Great breakfast and superb service . Thanks All

Very Good 8.0
Average but convenient
Decent location, not really a hotel just rooms above a busy pub. Lots of stairs to the room (no lift). Welcoming staff at check in, out and at breakfast. No room service but did sort some food to take away myself. Nice room with a corner aspect overlooking Waterloo Station. Noisy from the passing people rather than trains but the windows were adequate in sulking the noise. Mostly clean and well set out room but noticed grubby corners and a layer of film in the shower gel and shampoo containers - must have been there for a while. Overall it was a comfortable and convenient stay and I slept well. I wouldn’t rush back but wouldn’t rule it out either

Well I’m lost for words I actually didn’t get a winks sleep unfortunately that was the only problem it was way to much noise not just from the tube that was more or less near are window and now I have a three hour drove to do on no sleep it was clean and comfortable and great friendly apart from the lady house keeper in the morning very rude

Convenient location and helpful staff but very loud with trains.

Great location and service
The place is above a bar, which can be either be a pleasant surprise or not depending on how much you like to drink. It is right across one of the stations which we found extremely convenient to move around London. The service was great, and everything worked as expected. We where there during the winter. The only thing was that the room next to us was very loud during the night, so we had some issues while resting, so I would say that the walls may be a bit thin, yet to be fair, the people right next to us were being VERY loud. Besides this issue, which was no fault of the hotel, but rather other guests, our stay here was very pleasant. Would seriously consider coming back again given the location, the bar and excellent breakfast downstairs (breakfast is included and it’s pretty good), and the good service we received during our stay.
