Not the experience we expected for the price
We booked two standard rooms over New Year based on Hotels.com descriptions. Whilst our stay was okay - the standard room was not like the Hotels.com description. There was no TV in either of our rooms, we didn't get water even once (despite asking), and the dustbin in the bathroom had previous occupant's litter in it - YUK!
When we asked for TVs (as per hotel.com description) - they found one (no remote) for one of our two rooms but it could only play content off our own laptop. WIFI is incredibly slow.
Some meals were good but availability of ingredients was problematic. Across our stay there were times where there was no water, no local beer, no wine, no teabags, no sweetner, no diet coldrinks, no butter, no fish, no bread, no rolls. Buffet ran out. At the price we expected better planning.
At first, owners and their friends were in residence. Paying guests got the distinct impression that they were less important than the owners. When their was a buffet - the owners ate first. When there were plated meals, everyone got the same options except the owners table who ate much better. The owners were clearly only interested in hosting their own friends. Management staff were hardly ever around to deal with queries.
After pool at dive centre turned green & was drained, locals invaded main hotel. Paying guests were squeezed out of the very small pool by local children. Drunk locals played pool loudly adjacent to our standard rooms.
Setting is lovely but expected better
