Our 4 nights stay for a second year in a row to this beautiful hotel was overall great. We need to highlight the best service from the staff which made our stay enjoyable. From Adonis at Guest Service, the restaurants crew, Yafreisy, Maximo, Emmanuel (chef) Carina over in building 14 guest services, can't remember everyone's name but everybody always with a smile ready to assist.

We had a great experience during our stay. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. Adoni was also very helpful. There was some maintenance needed in our room and some cleanliness that could be improved on but overall it was very fun and the food is great.

Bad experience at the Royalton Bavaro!

It was a bad experience, from the hotel staff to the guest. Majority of the guests were white, while my family was of color we were followed around by hotel security. One night of few other guests followed and verbally harassed me and my family while security did nothing. The next night I come out of my room and there’s a man urinating on my door. Mind you we had little girls in our rooms. We complained but nothing happened. The staff was rude, and often we had to wait long times for any services we asked for. I would hate for anyone to go here and spend money to be treated the way we were. It’s not worth the stay here.

We had an amazing vacation, but there were a few downsides: The staff especially Angella is very nice The Room: We booked a swim-up suite. There was a bit of a humidity smell at first, but it faded after the second day (or maybe we just got used to it). The AC was really loud and made it hard to sleep. Housekeeping skipped our room on the second day, and we found a cockroach on the third day—not great! Food & Restaurants: The food was just okay, and the meat was usually dry. Best views: Ocean and Rio restaurants, but we couldn’t get a spot before 9:30 PM. Best food: Hunter had the best flavors. Entertainment & Amenities: Nightlife was really fun! The lazy river was super relaxing. Bars were everywhere, so drinks were easy to find! Overall, we had a great time despite some issues. Hope this helps anyone planning a trip!
