Really close to the Lake, welcoming and helpful staff. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Our friend took us to the hotel restaurant as he said they had some great traditional Chinese dishes, absolutely wonderful food so much flavour from the soup to desert 10 out of 10. Would return here again. Coffee shop within in the hotel and makes great coffee.

Please Google "China Scam" if you are visiting. The hotel was nice with a special Chinese look and feel which we were looking for. The lobby lounge is more of a tea place. They do have limited beer and wine and you have to ask for the beer to be cold otherwise you will get it warm. The A/C in our room didn't work but we didn't ask them to fix it or move us since we were only there 2 nights and the first night was chilly out so it didn't bother us. The location was good and was within walking distance to the lake and shopping and plenty of options for eating.

The location was very near the West Lake, and the view on the top floor is really nice. The staff at the restaurant were really polite too. Just a word of caution, for those of you using Didi to book the car, typing deefly will not work. Just look for 'Lakeview Hotel Hangzhou' and you're set
