UNHUMANE! NO BASIC NEEDS- COLD SHOWER ONLY!
Utterly disgusting! Dropped off Gateway, told to checkin here next property to VR. Dragged bags to VR across. Bug spray smell, wobbly faucet, no reception desk! Next AM checkout day, try to shower, NO HOT WATER! Called reception desk, told will call Housekeeping who never came. Checkout time 10am, had 10 mins to shower in COLD WATER! HORRID! Requested MGR, told nit on duty weekends!! COMPLETELY DISGUSTING! UNHUMANE! It’s called BASIC NEEDS! Paid $100 NZD for a night! Could’ve stayed in HOSTELfor half the price with BASIC NEEDS, a bed and a warm water! Hot water was burning HOT and short period then stayed COLD. UNBELIEVABLE!

I don’t recommend this place
Terrible place, pictures on hotels.com are not the same in the real. It super dirty the hall, washrooms, room, first room didn’t even had a telephone, the door didn’t closed properly because was broken, we felt unsafe. We complain about the cleaning and the give us another room but we have to pay more. Tha second room was 5/10 in cleaning, tv didn’t work, wall looks in renovation.

Sleep on the airport floor instead
If you have to choose between sleeping at this hotel or the airport floor, take the airport floor. If that’s no option, sleep at the bus shelter. If that’s not possible, find a meth dealer and stay up all night. The good; free shuttle every 30 min to/from airport but it’s organised from the adjoining hotel and no instructions how to get it. (International Bus Stop D - The Yellow Bus) The bad; no fans, no aircon, dirty hall ways, fire alarm broken (see photo), doors hard to open, very hot during the day, no air flow. You may save a few dollars by staying here but unless you’ve been deployed or lived in a third world country, this will be the worst place you’ve stayed.

Great location so wins for price-convenience. Room size also good. However had to go next door to sister motel to check in, drive through a “lake” to the rough area behind the motel which is well lit, so much so no chance of sleeping with the thin curtains. I can only imagine the lights are a deterrent for criminal activity; I still worried about my car. Bed was the cheapest most basic possible but sheets and towels were plentiful and super clean. Holes/divets in the floor under the carpet in several areas not the greatest look, and a safety hasard for an older person. Tv ok and showl gel and shampoo nice. A strange mix. Probably wouldn’t go back but served its purpose today as a budget option.

Would Highly Not!!!Recommend!!!!.Mattress had Huge yellow stain Looked like Pee with Hair in between sheets.The next room was smoking Marajuana skunk outside my front window obviously stinking entire place out night Mngr told them to go inside there room as resolution.Checked out a day early never to return.Never experienced anything like this.welcome to the New world we live In.

This property was not what I expected . I did not stay here, I walked out. The rooms smelt musty. The bathroom was a communual one with stained toilet. My 90yr old moher did not fancy walking the corridoor looking for a toilet in the middle of the night. I informed the desk man it was not up to our standard. he did not offer any refund. Totally unimpressed
