Excellent stay
Excellent stay. It was clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The front desk person was exceptionally sweet. The hotel is only 10 min drive to Farmingdae Main Street where there are plenty places to eat. When we come back to NYC, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Dogs...lots of them
Be aware that this hotel houses dogs. (and just like some of the other reviews mentioning a rude receptionist, a rude one snarkily told us we would have to wait to "see if another room becomes available". Well after enduring a 5-minute speech about how booked this hotel is and how difficult it will be to move us we patiently waited through the verbage and eventually got a room on the third floor. On the way up to our room we met with the manager who mentioned that of course if they're booked we may find a dog on the third floor. Well we did get a very quiet room away from any noise and fortunately got a good night's sleep. The heater was broken but fortunately not too cold in the room. So just to let you know read some of the other reviews yes there are people who leave dogs in the room barking and unsupervised. The good thing is we will choose more wisely a hotel with no pets policy.
