Step down from a typical Japan hotel
Kind of surprised how much of a step down from the typical Japan hotel this is. Half or more of the staff are non-native Japanese speakers and attitude from some were kind of harsh, unlike in typical hotels. Head of the bed was against the window which is opposite most other hotels and unfortunately that is where the heater control was so it was a careful balance of keeping it not too high because the space near the window got cold fast while the rest of the room would heat up. TV was firmly bolted to the wall making HDMI acces very difficult. It supported casting but was totally unusable as the WiFi throughput was poor. Free movies though. Do not Disturb sign was not provided which was pretty annoying. Room was clean except for some dark red brown spots on the bathroom wall, when I rubbed with some wet toilet paper they did start to come off so was really surprised housekeeping did not take care of them. I don't know if it was blood but it grossed me out, as did one of the glasses was dirty and looked used. I'd never seen that in a Japan hotel before. Last order for breakfast is 9:00 and I literally walked in at 9:01 one morning and felt like I was getting yelled at. Saw them berate other customers for other things also. 2nd time staying here but now it's 30% higher cost (last time bed was perpendicular to the window). And bed was way too soft and gave me backache.
