White Plains - Avoid This Option
While the staff at this hotel was exceptionally friendly and accommodating—mainly during evening towel deliveries—the overall experience fell short of expectations. Upon check-in, we were given the wrong room, and since the hotel was sold out, we had to wait until the next day to switch. Understandable, but still inconvenient.
What honestly frustrated me was the lack of timely housekeeping. Despite requesting maid service four times over three days during a six-day stay, it wasn't addressed until late in the trip. This inconsistency dampened what should have been a seamless stay.
Additionally, the rooms could use a refresh. They felt dated and needed better upkeep. While the staff's warmth and effort stood out, these operational shortcomings make me hesitant to recommend this property without improvements.
Regarding a Residence Inn experience, it was far and away the worst I've had. I would not stay here again.

Totally fine for a 1-night stay
We were put in the weirdest accessible room - strangely large layout and very dated - but we were only there for one night so was fine. The bed was soooo soft I practically disappeared in it.

It was my second time to stay there, but I had the bad experience with the TV again. When I stayed there, the first night the TV in my bedroom didn't work. I had to spend that night without TV all night long. The next day, a person from the mechanic came and changed all the staff behind the TV set for the satellite. I wonder why they didn't check staff every room before the guest arrives. And this time, about 7 hours or so, there was no TV service in the whole the hotel and they said because of the weather. What??? The weather was not that bad. Just only a little bit snow which was gone over the night. I could not believe the reason they said. And that kind of problem happened twice or three times while I was there this time. Because I usually travel by myself, I prefer watching the TV whenever I am staying in the room. All over the whole night, definitely. I am not sure if I will stay again at this hotel in the future. The problem for me is the rate. More and more expensive, every time. I tend to stay less and less nights because of the high rate.

Do not stay in room 306. The shower does not work properly; the shower/tub faucet is loose/malfunctioning. I called down to the front desk to ask them to fix it the first time & they did. However, it happened again - so I had to call down again but they did not send someone to fix it the second time.
Hopefully, they fix it by the time someone else checks in.

We had an issue that required talking to someone at the front desk. When we got to the front desk, nobody was there. After waiting a few minutes, we looked through a door in the back of the lobby area and found an employee on their phone with their back to the door. This represented the lack of care of the service while we were there.
After one day at the hotel, we noticed that our room was not cleaned. I asked someone why the room was not cleaned. They said that it is their policy to assume that guests do not want their room cleaned if they do not ask. It seems like it would be better to ask the customer if they want their room cleaned. Moreover, they have a "do not disturb" sign that you can put on the outside of your door. So it seems reasonable to assume that if you don't put the "do not disturb" sign on the outside of your door, that you want your room cleaned.
Parking is $20/day. They give you a card that is supposed to open and close the gate. But the card did not work three times. We were stuck inside the garage twice and stuck outside the garage once. There is nobody at the garage to help. There is an "assistance" button that connects to someone remotely who could not be more unfriendly and unhelpful.
The hotel feels old and unmaintained. The rooms are large. But I will not return to this hotel.
Beautiful, large suite. Nice bedroom and nice clean bathroom. Extremely close to downtown White Plains and walking is no problem. MANY restaurants within walking distance. Very CLOSE TO THE TRANSPORTATION CENTER. A great down town hotel
