We stayed here for one night while in town for a concert. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and it was a really great location. The room was clean with great amenities. However, when you walked Into the lobby you felt like you were stepping back in time about 30 years. This property could definitely use a cosmetic refresh. The lobby and elevators and halls felt dark and outdated. Room was huge but the black carpet was odd.

Front desk ladies were extremely warm and welcoming the second we walked in, not to mention made the check in process seamless. The lobby area is large, spacious and inviting with a homey vibe. Theres a lovely bar seating area (bartender Jackie was phenomenal) as well as a mini convenience store available for any needs. Our room (king suite) was spotless and quite spacious with a nice walk in shower, kitchenette, and pull out sofa. There was no noise polution despite the downtown location making for a refreshing night sleep. I will definitely book a stay here again next time Im in the area. Valet & self parking options were both available as well and easy to utilize, again with friendly valet staff.

We have enjoyed staying here a couple of times because of its close proximity to Winter Park and surrounding areas. However, it is a very old original property with ongoing issues. Elevators are not always working well and furnishings are old. Parking deck room card never works to enter or exit. Refrigerator was not working but staff quickly replaced it. With that said, the staff goes above and beyond. However, I prefer not to have to always work around an issue when I am on vacation. For this reason I doubt we will return. Doubletree needs to upgrade.
