    Clean place, great neighborhood, rough sleep

    Historic and in the prime location for all thing Fells Point, this hotel has the promise to be quite the gem. I was hoping for a Bed and Breakfast experience but alas, it was just a historic hotel. The service and IMPECCABLE cleanliness is nothing like I’ve ever seen (and I travel for work quite a bit so I’ve seen my share of hotels). My one complaint is the lack of attention to the furnishings in the room. Our room had a small bed, which I knew ahead of time. The mattress was clearly very old. When we laid down, we sunk to the center. It was not raised properly over the side wooden rails so we injured ourselves getting in and out. There were only three very flat old pillows for two people, with another flat pillow in the storage chest. The extra pillow did not have a cover. I would gladly upgrade the mattress, box spring, and pillows for this room in an exchange for another night…post improvement. :) Other than the terrible body pains from that bed, our stay was pleasant. The windows opened to let in some perfect weather. When shut, we didn’t hear a peep of road noise from the party on the street that is always happening in this neighborhood. There was a large gap under our door which didn’t help the hall noise but oh well. I would stay again. And would bring pain killers next time.

    Didn’t have a blanket and the overwhelmed desk clerk took an hour to get it up. Maybe have another person all the time. Not just one person to cover the desk and guests

    In need of a refresh

    I understand this is a historical property but it is really in need of a refresh. It is feeling run down. Our bathroom toilet paper holders kept popping open and the shower curtain is so bent that the curtain kept sliding to the middle. There was no blanket on the bed and none in the closet. The tables, lamps etc are looking beat up.

    It wAs a perfect area! The hotel is old so the water was not easily regulated. The TV , we could not get sound on some channels. Asked for room to be cleaned, only gave us towels, did not make bed, or empty trash cans. Staff was very friendly!

    We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and sad to say very disappointed with condition of facility. Our room was clean but drawers with no handles and toilet that leaked. I understand that COVID has taken its toll...and I hope that in the future they can improve. But will not be coming back anytime soon.

    If you have kids go somewhere else

    Not stroller friendly whatsoever. It would have been appreciated if when they saw us check in with a toddler and a stroller if they would have mentioned there would be two flights of stairs we would have to do after getting off the elevator. Also, no one ever answered when we tried to come through the handicap accessible area in the back so we had to carry the stroller up steps to even get into the building. Front desk staff not very friendly and the walls are paper thin so you will hear everything from other people in the halls.

    Nice, but worn.

    This was a hotel that my wife and I have stayed at many time over the years, as we visit Fells Point quite a bit. It's older now and is showing it's age. The front desk personnel where very helpful, and the lobby is very comfortable. The rooms are where the age and use have taken their toll. While comfortable, they are in need of a major update. This hotel has a great location for exploring Fells Point, but no longer offers valet parking, so unload your bags first, and then drive several blocks to the public lots on S. Carolina street. All in all, a nice place to stay for the money.

    Great front desk staff but not the cleanest hotel.

    We loved the location and the staff was engaged and friendly. Unfortunately, the room was a bit dingy and not particularly clean and we had a hard time getting housekeeping to clean the room (they only came once in the five days we were there despite repeated requests.
