Great stay other than the pool area being closed on 1 of our 2 days for a private function meaning we had to vacate by 4pm and couldn’t use the bar for food and drinks without having to order them through room service. I was a bit disappointed to learn upon check in that there was a "pool party" going on at the hotel. I only picked this property due to the pool and proximity to Gaslamp. I wanted to unwind after a long day of moving my son into his apartment and ended up having to share a pool area with a ton of young adults and a loud DJ. There were no seats at the pool but we were able to sit at the bar to get a drink. The hotel was very loud at night, so much so that they have ear plugs and white noise machine on the night stand. I'll think twice about staying here again.

Not worth the cost per stay I was expecting a lot more considering the room rate. Majority of the front desk staff were rude and made us feel very unwelcome. Me and my wife didn’t get any info about the hotel, the room was very small the bathroom is tiny and had mold, coffee maker was sticky. The pool was unavailable for use due to a private event Saturday and Sunday no one told us this in advance I would have reconsidered the booking will not being staying again and will more than likely avoid Andaz properties in the future

We arrived prior to the official check-in time and were told there is a room available. It’s not an upgrade, but for $50 you can have that room early. I found this to be a very tacky policy to extract money from a guest. I’m not sure if this policy extends beyond this Andaz to other or all Hyatt properties but it was a real turnoff.

Staff was all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Property was very clean. Rooms were spacious and very hospitable. Great area, if you are looking for someplace with some nightlife. Hotel provides ear plugs, due to the loud nature of the area, but we never needed to use them. Would definitely stay here again.
