Exceptional 10.0
overall it was a nice stay
We got there at 11pm which it states on Hotels is the last time for check in but on the door of the building states is 10pm. We walked across the street to 711 and a man was nice enough to call them and they gave us the codes to get to our room. Not ideal start but, could have been worse! Room is Big, very spacious. Could do with a bit of an upgrade in some areas and some stains on the sheets. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is basic.

Very Good 8.0
Business Travel
The room was modern and functional with very efficient use of the space. I opted to stay here instead of the conference hotel since there were kitchenettes in the room. Staff hospitality was mediocre. Boiler also went out during my stay and I had to take a cold shower 2 days in a row. This hotel is not staffed 24 hours and there is no way to reach anyone outside of the staffed hours, which was an issue.

Not worth the price
$344.00. $344.00 a night I paid for this room. I stayed because I was taking a major two day test nearby at the Hynes Convention Center and I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t be late. The one bedroom suite is somewhat similar to the photos advertised except everything is just a bit dirty and dingy. I get that it happens with typical wear and tear with any hotel room. But this is $344.00/night. Upon entering the room it was overwhelmingly smelly — far too much air freshener. I needed to open a window to air it out a bit. After a few hours, it’s better, but now the window won’t close. It’s completely stuck. I call the front desk - it’s been redirected to a nearby hotel because the staff has stepped out at 8:30pm (“I can’t take a message, but she said she’ll be back soon.”) an hour and a half later she’s back at the desk (I tried calling three more times in that timespan). She says she’ll be up shortly to help me. She never comes and the window remains stuck open all night long — the night before the first day of the big test. Exhausted. The armchair in the living room is covered in questionable stains and just looks worn out. I was going to sit on it after placing the blanket from the foot of the bed over it, but then I noticed odd brown stains on said blanket. I’ll pass. The sheets are maybe a step above hospital bed quality. Nothing to write home about. At least the bathroom soaps smell nice? Two nights at almost $1,000.00 — I expected better.

Not a hotel, rental rooms. Over-priced.
Convenient location near to Prudential Center. Not a “boutique hotel” as described but some rooms to rent, with a part-time staff member behind a hatch in basement and no services (e.g. no housekeeping). No lobby/reception, need to use codes to access hotel/rooms (10 digits at front door). Not very clean. Good size room but poor design e.g. mattress too small for bed frame (it slid around), TV impossible to see from sofa (90 degrees) or bed (very far away). Minuscule shower room. Breakfast a few packet cereals and bagels but too-small toaster. Room and common areas not very clean, bins overflowing. They call it “a new approach to hospitality” but I thought it was not at all hospitable and very over-priced.

Brownstone with hotel comfort
Security codes for rooms is plus. Location central to mall, food, and trains. Room decore is gorgeous! Cont Breakfast has yogurt, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, tea, coffee, juices, and TV.

A wonderful hotel, cheaper and bigger rooms then others in the local area. Was in Boston for a conference and stayed at another hotel for part of it, wish I had been here the whole time! The Inn is the way of the future, with self check in and out, no hassle! Lovely bed, shower etc. Defintely staying there in future trips!

Spacious room in a quiet and convenient location
The suite was huge and the kitchenette well equipped. The two large bay windows let a lot of light through, which was lovely. The area is quiet but within walking distance of sites e.g. the Museum of Fine Arts (~10 min), Boston Symphony Orchestra (~5 min), Boston Commons (~10/15 mins) and, conveniently, Boston Back Bay train station (~5/10 min). Although the breakfast is pretty basic, there is a good selection of coffee and with such good in-room facilities, it was nice to buy our own things and have them in "our" living room. Would certainly go again.

Nice hotel but beware of leaky air mattresses
The suite was nice, with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Everything was very clean. The hotel has a buffet-style breakfast with hot and cold cereals, juices, milk, yoghurts, various teas, and a machine that produces fancy coffees. All of that was great. The big problem for me was that some of the equipment was defective. Most importantly, the air mattress that I had ordered for my friend, with whom I was sharing the room, had a leak and deflated during the night. The bed covers were thin, and she could not sleep because of the hard floor and the cold, even though she had just arrived from France and was very tired. The next day, another air mattress was brought in, but after a few hours we noticed that this one was leaky as well. At this point we became very worried because my friend has health problems and needed a good night's sleep. When I told the receptionist, she was unapologetic and short with me, and told me that we had to wait until the evening to get another mattress. We never received that other air mattress, and my friend had to move out and find another hotel so that she could finally sleep. The other receptionist I dealt with at later times was very friendly and helpful, and so was the wonderful cleaning personnel. It is a pity that this one receptionist and the defective equipment spoiled our experience those first few days. I recommend that this hotel use cots, as other hotels do, instead of air mattresses.
